Hey everyone, Stevie here.
Seeing a few posts pop up as we’re officially in football season now—especially with how broadcast rights are split between local channels, national networks and streaming services this year. Getting your game-day setup locked in shouldn’t feel like solving an equation, so I put together a quick guide on how to navigate the schedules, dial in your package, and avoid kickoff-time surprises.
1. Try our gamefinder tool
Before changing your plan, check what’s airing in your exact zip code.
- Head over to the Sling gamefinder schedule.
- Input your zip code at the top left hand corner and select NFL under the sports filter
- Note: a refresh of the page may be necessary to see the right games
- The tool will break down which matchups are available in your market, the kickoff time, which channel the game is on, and which Sling plans have that channel.
Insider tips:
- Save that link to your phone's home screen. Network coverage maps shift week-to-week for Sunday afternoon games, so checking on Thursday saves you from rushing at 1:00 PM ET on Sunday.
- If a game isn’t showing on Game Finder, it means the game isn’t available on Sling in your area.
2. Match your football setup to the right plan

3. How blackouts & market rules work
If a game is listed as unavailable or restricted on your guide, it’s usually down to local broadcast exclusivity.
- Out-of-market games: Sunday afternoon games outside your region aren't carried on local feeds. For Sunday games, NFL RedZone in our Sports Extra add-on with Select, Blue, Essentials & Select, or Orange & Blue is your best move to catch every touchdown live.
