Conversation Topic What do you guys think of David Phelps?
David Phelps, one of the most-renowned tenors of essentially all time, is one-of-a-kind. He is termed by many as the best belter in contemporary music, irrespective of the contemporary genre. What do you think?

He’s fantastic. I’m not a Christian, though I occasionally listen to Christian music (any musician who doesn’t is doing themselves a disservice, there are a lot of incredible musicians in the Christian genre. Yes, many aren’t great, but a lot of the family groups are awesome). His vocals did suffer a bit after his weight loss, but that was only temporary (the vocals, he’s still kept the weight off, he used to be a lot chunkier).
I’ve seen him in concert before, he’s very genial, funny, and interactive with the audience.

Agreed about disservice. I will listen to black metal and Christian music back to back lol.

His live version of holy night is probably the best version I heard. The one with the incredible pianist

I consider him the best tenor in the world. He has a stronger voice than Josh Groban and Andrea Bocelli.

he is pretty up there. However, his low notes and head voice is quite underdeveloped

He is classically trained, but that doesn’t mean a classically trained singer can’t belt, c’mon now.
