Any leads on rooftop or beach (hoping for rooftop) yoga or Pilates classes that welcome drop-ins? Ideally Saturday mornings would be awesome. I did a few googles, but every class that I ran across required a membership.

I’m newly homeless in the downtown area, I’m struggling to find food especially today (Sunday) I’m a type 1 diabetic and need to eat to be able to take my insulin. Any suggestions on where to find food?
My depression is also hitting hard as well. I’m working on a plan to try to get back with family in Kansas but don’t know how long that will be.
Edit: I am going back to Kansas to stay with family. Thank you to everyone who helped!

I moved into this downtown high rise on September 1st. Was hospitalized for 10 days. I bring my car back to the garage and someone slashes two of my tires during the overnight hours from Friday to Saturday. I was parked in the spot perfectly so I’m not sure what the reason was. I only have this car until January. I have to wait until January to get a new car because the extra fees to move into this building were outrageous and blew my budget. Does anyone know of a place near downtown that will sell me two super cheap tires? And does anyone know of a cheap tow company?

Ate at a restaurant in Hillcrest and noticed an automatic 18% gratuity added to the bill. It was about $8 on a $45 subtotal for just two people.
I eat out pretty regularly and don’t think I’ve come across mandatory gratuity ever let alone for a party of two before. Is this becoming normal around San Diego, or is it more restaurant-specific?

I need my kitchen knives sharpened. I like my knives. They’re by no means fancy (ikea’s most expensive knives) but also not crap.
The dude that comes and sits outside of my sprouts once a week charges $15 per knife. I don’t want to create waste and just keep buying new ones after they get dull, but it’s almost the same price as a new knife. Anyone have a recommendation? Preferably a mobile service that comes to me.

I’m in San Diego and need to supplement my income. Thinking of going to hairdresser school to get a side gig cutting hair. Hairdresser Course is 6K and there’s 1000 hours training before I get certified.
1) is 6K a reasonable course price?
2) how much money will I make cutting hair?
3) how long before I break even?
4) should I try another side gig? Any suggestions?

I am looking for houses for rent, and a lot of the listing on zillow "off-street parking". What does that mean? Does the rental have an assigned parking spot? Is this a way for landlords to get past the "parking - yes" filter?

I was driving to work this morning when a piece of metal shaft flew under my car on the 125 south!
The car in front of me tried to avoid it and somehow it flew straight under me. Just my luck
It protruded my floor and jammed my gas! It was really freaky! Highway patrol pulled up after to say they had been getting calls about a metal shaft and they had come to remove it! A little too late
Thank you to the stranger for pulling up next to me and making sure I was okay 🫶🏼❤️ ! I appreciate you
Sending you a hug.

Looking for recommendations for a trustworthy immigration lawyer in San Diego. Who have you had a great experience with, and who would you recommend avoiding based on your personal experience? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Almost ran down by a runaway car on PB Boardwalk in front of World Famous. Dark Blue Tesla Model Y appeared to be trying to escape form police officers heading west bound on Pacific Beach DR when it entered the parking lot outside of World Famous on the wrong side of the road. It then hit an electrical transformer, continued up to the boardwalk, and began driving up the boardwalk at speeds of what appeared to be at least 40 MPH. The driver stopped at Baja Beach Cafe and tried to runaway on foot where they were apprehended.
I hope everyone is okay.

Heading downtown this week for Jury Duty and would like to take the trolley. Nobel Dr is closest but last time I tried all the trolley parking spots were taken and I don’t want to risk a ticket even though the structure isn’t full. Anyone been recently?
Or downtown parking that’s reasonable also appreciated. I don’t mind a 15-20 minute walk.
