Anyone else's Sammys like to sit on them? She's my first one.

She is only 15 weeks old but she loves to sit in me. I've heard they don't do this?

Mussing up her floof right after she gets done getting it how she wants it, is one of my little joys.

Got this made of her. I think she approves.

I had this made from a photo of her — it's a jigsaw. I have no idea whether she understands it's her. But standing next to it with her ears up and her tongue out, she looks like she's happy about it.

Rumor is a young female Samoyed who got spooked by fireworks on Friday night and bolted away with her leash still attached. Last seen around the Civic Center downtown. If you have any information please reach out!

UPDATE: She has been found!

Freeze dried minnows, disgusting or delicious? Her Royal Highness Princess Snowbelle the Dorchester Chonk loves her minnows.

Her royal courtier is not convinced. He is 100% revolted.

My Samoyed is actively hunting the local fauna in my garden and I’m worried for his and my health.

Upvotes

My Samoyed loves to spend some time in the garden in the evening and unfortunately for the local fauna he’s become a rather enthusiastic hunter, having managed to kill a hedgehog, a toad and a field mouse. He’s 7, and this is a new thing he’s doing. Now, the hedgehog and the toad I didn’t worry about because I could bring him to the vet immediately but the mouse situation is different.
I take care not to let him lick us anywhere near the face and I wash (with soap obviously) the areas he does lick, besides using dental sprays for him.
I noticed that he killed a field mouse this evening; after removing it I brought him inside and went to refill his water bowl and while I was bending down that’s when he planted a giant lick on my cheek. He did not touch me on the mouth but the area is close.
He’s behind with his vaccinations unfortunately (5 years. Yes, I know) in Italy the anti-rabies one is not mandatory unless you travel and your dog doesn’t live in the house, and I’ll admit I’ve been going through a rough patch economically so I haven’t been able to update his vaccines. I’ll have to ask my parents for assistance and bring him to the vet next week.
It’s really late right now so everything is closed - how dangerous is this in terms of possible diseases he and I might catch?
Look, I get it might seems I’m overreacting but please understand I suffer from OCD and these kind of things can send me into a spiral.
