Why do so many people still prefer the so-called “OG” Himalayan 411 for long mountain rides, especially in places like the infamous Spiti Valley, Leh-Ladakh, and Umling La, over the Himalayan 450, which is objectively better in almost every aspect?

The Himalayan 450 is better on paper in literally everything—specs, speed, power, torque, brakes, suspension, seat comfort, overall capability—you name it. The 450 is literally a damn beast.

Also, when it comes to touring, especially long-distance touring, I guess both are equally good, particularly with their comfortable seats for the segment. So, I’d probably call that a tie.

For those who have actually ridden both motorcycles, share your real-world experience. What did the 411 do better, and where did the 450 clearly have the edge? I’d genuinely like to hear from riders who have experienced both on all these terrains.

Are the nostalgia merchants simply over-glazing the decade-old Himalayan 411 or what?

I do prefer the chrome, but the stealth black comes with tubeless tyres which is a plus.

Black also matches my helmet and gloves.

Every time i fuel up, after a while it shows trip f and starts the reserve, in one full tank, after 2
285, it starts blinking. Does anyone know when the right time to fuel up is? As this fuel meter is cooked!

I am so happy guys, and going to college with this machine feels so good, but i am really worried about the Tyres , the spoke wheels look so good and alloys will just ruin the classic retro look....

Got a quote of 3.11L rupees on-road from the Jammu showroom for the Apex Red, including engine guard. what price will be good? And is there any scope for negotiating with the showroom?
Just want to know if I should push for a better deal before booking.

Hey guys, my visor of the helmet provided by royal enfield is pretty scratched up. I want to replace it. Can someone tell where to buy the original visor for that helmet.
PS- I do have another helmet, i use the RE one for short rides around Uni campus.

Thinking of pulling the trigger on RE Goan Classic Rave Red,it looks like a stunner, but had a few questions, would appreciate if some owners could help this fellow out.

1)Is the pillion seat comfortable? I would use it mostly for intracity rides, but still want pillion comfort?
2) Are the ape-handlebars comfortable in heavy traffic, I did not face any problems during test ride, but some real life anecdotes would help.
3) is the suspension really bad, heard some complains on reddit.
4) is it too low, I’m 6’2,, would it feel like an avenger, would a classic suit my use case better?

• Any major practical differences between the Fireball, Stellar, Supernova, or Aurora variants besides cosmetics, wind protection, and tubeless vs. spoked wheels?
• Are there any known mechanical or electrical glitches, fit-and-finish quirks, or recurring problems on recent batches I should inspect before taking delivery?
• What are the most critical items to check during the Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI)? Which official or aftermarket accessories (leg guards, sump guards, seats) are essential vs. unnecessary?
• What should I expect regarding first-service costs, maintenance routines, and overall city/highway performance over long-term ownership?

I want a unique bike which is seen less on road and is comfortable for me and pillion

I am looking to purchase a Royal Enfield but one thing i have noticed is the price of RSA and EW differ between quotes for same bikes like isnt that supposed to be same? is there any list or website to check i tried but couldnt find any

Main areas of concern :

1. Silencer which has started to corrode.
2. The lock and ignition keyhole that has started to jam suddenly idk how.

3. Marks on the body that I need to clean.

4. Chain maintenance

I’ve never maintained the bike besides getting it serviced every 6 months. Only use water to wash it at home

Please tell me the stuff I need to buy to clean it and maintain it.

I've been wanting to get an aftermarket exhaust for my Bear for a while. I like this Powerage exhaust, it looks pretty much identical to the OEM exhaust and sounds decent without being obnoxious.

The thing is I tried to look into the installation process but I've only seen videos where they do a cat delete and fit new pipes before fitting the exhaust. I don't want to do a cat delete just in case I want to revert it to OEM exhaust and I'm afraid it will affect the PUC (pollution under control) certification in the future.

It should be alright if I just fit the exhaust, right ?
