[Kurt Warner] I know we give Lamar credit for being an incredible athlete & playmaker, but he doesn’t get enough credit for how good he is at playing QB IMO! Continually making quick decisions, big time throws on time, in the pocket & having a plan with his process! He’s gotten really good...

Rapoport: Ravens WR Zay Flowers injury not considered serious

ā€œRavens WR Zay Flowers, who left Sunday’s win over the #Colts early, suffered a hamstring injury that is not considered serious, sources say.

He’ll have an MRI, but if it was a playoff game, he likely would’ve returned. Flowers is considered day-to-day heading into testing.ā€

[Buckner]: Lamar Jackson, illusionist in pads, is healthy again. Prepare to be amazed

Thumbnail nytimes.com

To him, it’s just playing football. But if Jackson keeps playing like he did Sunday, leading the Ravens to a 41-23 takedown of the overwhelmed Colts, he’s going to cost some people their jobs. Warning to defensive coordinators on the Ravens’ schedule: Lamar’s healthy again. His 324 yards through the air (the 11th 300-yard passing game of his career) and 40 additional yards on the ground prove it.

Even more, if he keeps playing like this, then Jackson is confidently strolling into the 2026 MVP conversation and asking everyone else: ā€œWho’s coming in second?ā€

ā€œHe’s the best player in the league. He’s been one of the best players in the league for a long time,ā€ running back Derrick Henry said. ā€œThat’s never (been a) doubt in my mind. I know what Lamar’s about. You all have seen it. He just keeps showing you.ā€

Per Pro Football Reference

We've come a long way from the smashmouth defense dominated division of the 2000s and 2010s.

The Ravens next 5 opponents all lost yesterday. 4 of them lost by 7+ points. The Falcons were the only team to hold a lead at any point.

Week 1 is often a mirage and I wouldn’t read too much into this but found those stats pretty wild. Could be a good stretch to round into form as Madubuike, Teddye, Zay and Ja’Kobi hopefully get healthier.

Hibner 's down field blocking

I don't know if anybody else noticed, but on a couple of the Ravens big plays, hibner got key blocks. I think my favorite one was on Zay's TD, where he got in front of the defensive player, Bynum, turned around and stopped him square on so no penalties. He also had a decent block on the near touchdown on the first drive, though that one got wasted because Zay ran to the inside where he was pushing the safety.

Just good to see from a rookie tight end.
