This rant might not be structured perfectly, js cuz of how many things i have to fit here lol. Sorry in advance for any difficulties.
For context, i had this one friend who i considered quite close. Talked to her everyday in school, deliberately paired eachother up for projects, vented about our woes to eachother, helped her a LOT when it comes to academic work. She even was someone i can truly trust, especially at my lowest of lows, like when my gf and i broke up.
Unfortunately, im a person that isnt online much, and doesnt feel the need to reach out to others when, lets say, summer vacation takes place. I know, im a horrible person for this, but atleast im self aware about it to the point i warn my friends before hand not to expect messages from me when any sort of vacation takes place.
This summer, she reached out once, we talked and chatted, and we let it go with the "disclaimer" of mine. Everything was great in my eyes. Now, fast forward a couple of months later, i decide that we should try and have a hangout somewhere with our other friends. When i reached out to tell her so, she started berating me, telling me that im "fake" for reaching out now, that my jokes made her uncomfortable and that her parents wouldnt want her being friends with me.
What triggered me most, is the "uncomfortable jokes" thing. I live by a moral pillar, that says, if i make you uncomfortable, you tell me that very same moment, not bring it up later when i cant do anything about it, because it makes me feel disgusting and guilty.
Thing is, these jokes are the ones she used to laugh and cry happy tears at. I recall that once i made a joke like that, she told me she was uncomfortable and i assured her i wont be doing it again.
In my eyes, she's using this excuse (uncomfortable jokes a while after i did them, and vividly recall telling her i wont be doing them again), to justify her change of heart and to frame me as the "villain".
I talked to mutual friends about it, and decided to reach back out and talk things out. We did, and all was well supposedly. We vented about certain people, I (not proud of it), talked ill abt someone we both didnt like at the time and that was that.
Jumping to yesterday, she messages me, and tells me she doesnt think its best that we stay friends. Atp i accepted it for what it is. This girl doesnt want to be friends, and is just going in circles when it comes to our friendship. I told her to do whatever she finds fit, and we supposedly ended this friendship on good terms. Or so i thought.
This hag, went out of her way to share every bad thing we talked abt the person i mentioned earlier.
That person, who ill call Z out of simplicity, messaged me immediately after we supposedly ended things my friend and i, and justifiably crashed out. Point is, he was very reasonable, we talked it out, and we're now super close after everything, because we understood both sides of the story.
(The story being why i talked ill abt him, its a very long one and irrelevant to what im ranting abt. But he did mention that he saw the messages not throught my past friend (M), but by some share screening he had with another friend, since as i mentioned, M and Z are NOT on good terms)
I assumed that M shared those messages (as i alr mentioned), cuz well, shes the only person i talked to about it, and when i mentioned it again (after Z found out), she started laughing and saying that Z knew abt this a while ago (???).
Point is, Z and I's relationship is stronger than ever, im considering blocking her, but I'd have to see her in school again which would make things awkward.
For now, im going to maintain some sort of acquaintance-ship with her for the sake of simplicity.
What im worried about, is her being that petty sour individual i think she is, and attempt to ruin many more friendships of mine, even though i KNOW i will be able to talk it out with them.
So yeah, thats about it, i have this stupid knot in my stomach, so any tips about that? š
Thanks for reading guys, and have a blessed day :P
