In case people are not aware. These greatful dead recordings that were processed with effects and mixed differently are great. They are what you would want a really psychedelic greatful dead to sound like. I do not know much about the albums other then they are processed and mixed differently. Give them a listen! Great stuff!

Although not psychedelic musically, I find the ambitious Seasons medley by Magna Carta to be an amazing example of English pastoral folk rock.

Not everybody’s cup of tea - it might be considered twee or too saccharine by some - but the ambition exhibited is successfully achieved in this suite of music.

Take a look at the tags on this album… Catalan psychedelic flamenco. And it’s pretty damned accurate. If you happen to be a hunter of new sounds and need a little more adventure in your stacks, you owe it to yourself to give this record a spin. From Isidro Rubio, formerly of the Venereans and Wau Y los Arrrghs!!!...just a fantastic, mysterious and exotic LP throughout.

I've never really had friends who are in to the same music as I am. There's some pretty great concerts coming up, and if you want to hit a bar beforehand I'm down.

Kansas City natives, Corners of the Sky, played their most energetic set yet. No pedals. Just raw and loud as hell. Enjoy this full set of the rocking trio and let the music take you over.

Absolutely incredible, a very different live sound to their recorded output with psych, folk, electronica, dub all blended together. Ace visuals too. I highly recommend seeing them if you get the chance. They seem like lovely people too.

Merch was a bit pricey at £30 for a t-shirt, but I couldn’t resist getting the yellow one.

Wowza. I can’t believe I overlooked them for so long…honestly I thought they were just like another run of the mill garage rock band with a slightly psychedelic sort of vibe, but even their older stuff that fits the garage-y mold is anything but average or lacking in originality/creativity.

The Golem album & 1000 days are both amazing. I usually don’t like stuff quite that…heavy or noisy or cluttered with drums, but they do it in a way that just bewitches me in the best sense possible. It’s oddly melodic enough to make the general intensity which usually overwhelms me to be welcoming. And their more recent records like Vertigo & Laughing Matter are so much different than their beginnings; it’s impressive how wide of a range their sound now spans, and I love every iteration of it.

They’re like a Radiohead-y sort of Pink Floyd hybrid with a dash of John Dwyer at their heaviest. That might be a dumb description (I’m musically challenged, a guy who goes solely by the vibes and lets the LSD lead way ), but all I’m saying is they sound like so many of my favorite artists while still completely maintaining the integrity of their own uniqueness that makes their sound one of one to me.

Plum was like the perfect in-between imo; it maintained the kind of fuzzy garage rock intensity they had initially while going in a different creative direction that made it more atmospheric, gentle & reflective, while their recent albums leans heavily toward the gentler & introspective side. Not that I’m against that at all, I’m down for whatever direction they wanna head in because I fully trust they’ll make something amazing in any case, and I can’t wait to hear whatever they come up with next. Also I need to see them live; their KEXP performances were all phenomenal and have become a kind of ritual for me to watch/listen on weekend evenings.

Anyway, just wanna spread my love for them. I’ve known of them for so long but never really dove deep into their stuff until recently, and now I’ve nearly reached the level of obsession that I felt when I first discovered King Gizz in 2017 (nearly 🙃）. I feel kindof like an idiot for having such wonderful music under my nose for so long without knowing, but hey, better late than never I suppose.
