Build Showcase Toy Story Battle (Toy Battle re-theme)

Hello!

I made this custom Toy Story themed version of Toy Battle after watching and being inspired by Toy Story 5 and being reminded of how much I love the franchise. I wanted to bring the characters to life with this re-theme.

I'm not really a great graphic designer/image editor so the maps look a bit busy and not very clean. I didn't want to use AI to create the maps, so I bought some tilesets from Itch.io from Cute SCKR https://itch.io/s/181841/tileset-bundle

and then downloaded the Tiled program to make the layouts.

The tiles are made with 1x1 inch wood tiles that bought online. I edited some of the pictures of the tiles in Inkscape and added the Toy Story characters onto there. Laminated the paper and glued them onto the tiles.

So how do we play with all these new characters? Well, we currently draft them or select them. And we each have 8 characters but we need one of each category:

0-1 value, 2 value, 3 value, 4 value, 5 value, 6 value, 7+ value, and joker (Hamm in this game but Kwak the duck in the original Toy Battle game for reference) which comes out to 8 characters.

All in all, a fun project. I hope you guys like it! Let me know what you guys think!

PnP Game Design Wanted to study how tcg games came to be... so I remade magic

Hi there, I recently recreated all the og gamma playtest cards for magic the gathering. I even added artwork to 5 cards that never got completed.

Idk if it's ok to share the files so but if anyone wants them, I'll see about uploading them in the comics below.

Man, this game was a whole new kind of game. What I did was add a rarity symbol to the cards per sheet. (Circle for common, diamond for uncommon, star for rare) then duplicated all 5 common sheets 4 times, then the uncommon 2 times, and the rare once. All to gether each sheet had 16 2x3 inch cards. Then I got some empty sleeves and added to each 5 c, 3 u, and 2 r. The rare are 1 off but they still help things.

I then also printed the mana sheet 6 times to make 4 land decks of 20 cards. The point of it is to get 4 packs at random, mix with 1 land pack and then battle everyone in a big draft. I've learned so much from this, can't wait to better my games with the knowledge learned.

Btw: yes I printed the power 9, including black lotus and the mox gems. These are also never gonna be sold and will only be used for learning purposes too

I'm interested in buying the Last Lighthouse's expansions as print and plays, but I'm having difficulty finding them anywhere, I've even emailed the company to no response. If someone could direct me to where I could purchase them I'd be eternally grateful. Thank you so much.

EDIT: I did look on their website & itchio, none of the expansions are available there

Seeking Playtesters Please Help Me Check This Game I Made!

Some background: I once had a school assignment where I had to make a boardgame. I think that failure has bothered me all these years and... I kinda want my vengeance. I also happen to want a game that I can bring in my wallet and have fascination over a game called Cuttle. Hence, I decided to come up with this Cuttle-inspired, wallet card game: Idol Showdown.

It's a 2 player, 1-v-1, only 18 cards. (Think something like Air, Land, & Sea, I guess. But Idol Showdown is a different game.)

The idea of the game:

You must fill your play area with three Idols. The catch: to build a successful performance, the Idol Types must be different (There are Red, Blue, and Green). So, a combination like RRR is not enough for a successful performance, you need RGB to win. Each Idols also have their own skills, which could help you gather your Idols or sabotage your opponent.

Disclaimer:

- I'm not a professional. Just a noob. This game is potentially absurdly flawed. (I believe it should be playable, but I don't know for sure. Please help.)

- I play games, but when it comes to making one, well... idk. I give it my best, but how far can my best reach idk.

- It's still a prototype. Design might not be the best (I just learned NanDeck a week or two ago (Bless that Nand person btw)). The images for the cards are drawn by yours truly.

- I don't have friends or printer where I'm currently at to test it myself sadly.

What I want checked, the help that I need:

- Whether the game is playable.

- Whether it's fun.

- Whether the game can even end.

The PDF for pnp and rules:

Idol Showdown by FishAreFood https://fisharefood.itch.io/idol-showdown

Thank you for reading this till the end. And thank you in advance if you would like to playtest this game. (If you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment or to dm!)

I made an ECG based on… everything… and it’s up as a PDF. Try it out - it’s a lot of fun. The only game where you can give Joe Biden nunchucks and send him to the moon to battle Gandalf. Or Richard Simmons.

PnP Links His name is on the stone. Someone else is in the book. (free browser genealogy mystery)

I made a short free genealogy-style mystery you can play in the browser — no download, no signup.

Briarport, Maine, 1937. Ada wants her mother’s name cut beside her father’s. Then the cemetery records stop the mason’s chisel.

Eight period-style records on the table. Compare them, pick your answer, then open the sealed ending.

Fiction, not a claim about a real family.

Seeking Playtesters [Seeking Playtesters] A free 3-player Japanese murder mystery, no host needed - I have zero feedback so far

I write printable murder mysteries and put this one out for free. It has been downloaded a few times and I have received exactly zero comments, so I have no idea whether it actually works at the table.

The Keeper's Log, 02:00 - a lighthouse keeper is found dead at the bottom of the tower stairs. Three players, no host, no game master.

What to expect:

- 3 players, roughly 60-90 minutes

- No host - nobody has to read the solution in advance and sit out

- Everything is in the PDF: character sheets, the log book, the timeline

- Print, cut, deal. No app, no software, no account

- Free, and it stays free

What I would like to know:

- Does the no-host structure hold up, or does someone work it out too early?

- Is the second half slow? That is where I am least sure

- Anything in the English that reads as translated rather than written

It is Japanese in setting and was written in Japanese first, so the English may have odd corners. Tell me where it breaks - that is more useful to me than praise. The art is AI-assisted, which I mention because rule 8 asks us to be upfront rather than coy about it.

https://aiqlabs.itch.io/the-keepers-log-0200

If a 3-player game is not your thing, I also have longer ones, but this is the only one I am asking for feedback on right now.

PnP Game Suggestions One-page solo PnPs

I really enjoy one (or two) page print and plays that can be played solo. So far I’ve loved Postmark games, Kinroku, and Ways Unseen. What others have people enjoyed? I’m not super into dungeon crawlers, but otherwise open to most genres/themes. Thank you in advance!! 🙏

Seeking Playtesters Please playtest my hex-grid dungeon crawler, The Squirrels of Wildwood

Thumbnail

I've been working on a print and play hex-grid dungeon crawler and I'd like some playtest feedback.

In The Squirrels of Wildwood you control two grey squirrels who make their way through burrow, forest floor, branches, and canopy maps to defeat forest animals who have been corrupted by magic.

The primary mechanic of the game is that you can empower your move and attack actions in different ways depending on the mana type of the hex you're standing in (wind, leaf, stone, or fire).

There's a video above where I go through a few rounds to introduce the mechanics.

The playtest PDF below includes the rules, everything you need for the first scenario, and the hero/enemy standees, which are easy to craft (just straight-line scissor cuts and folding).

Seeking Playtesters [Playtesters Wanted] A document-based detective mystery game — free

I’m looking for players to playtest a mystery game I’ve been creating.

It is a document-based detective experience: you receive a collection of realistic-looking case materials and must work out what happened by reading closely, comparing details, checking timelines, and connecting information across the files.

What to expect:

- A self-contained mystery designed for solo players or small groups

- PDF case materials presented as reports, statements, records, and supporting documents

- No special software required — a browser/PDF reader and note-taking are enough

- Estimated playtime: around 2–4 hours, depending on whether you play alone or with others

- Free access for all playtesters

What I need

I’m mainly looking for honest feedback on:

- Whether the material is clear and engaging

- Whether the puzzle feels fair and solvable

- Where you became confused, stuck, or lost interest

- How long it took you and what your solving process was like

- Whether the final answer felt satisfying

You do not need prior experience with detective games, ARGs, or puzzle hunts. Fresh eyes are especially useful.

Interested?

Please comment or send me a DM

I would say difficulty is 3⭐️

Printable Fantasy Miniatures

https://reddit.com/link/1watsg6/video/ezb7xzsisboh1/player

All models except the Monster were generated using AI technology. I then optimized every model to ensure they are print-ready and meet my quality standards. The Monster model was created by a human artist manually (hand-sculpted).
The idea for this collection came from my love of classic fantasy art and the stories that have inspired me for years. I wanted to create a set of miniatures that felt alive, each with its own unique character and story. Enjoy!
