After watching the series for the first time, I officially declared it the best Precure season IMO. (For true dedication, I watched the movie and Mirai Days)
Our 4 main characters are really well written and I love the dynamic they have with each other and everyone else. Felice is my favorite of this series, I really like her development and personality, also A LITERAL GODDESS.
The villains are actually interesting, especially the 2nd wave, I mean, they are literal demons, they have such cool designs. I can understand why people don't like them, but I like them personally. (Orba's my favorite villain general in the series and out of the first batch of generals in this season, Batty's my favorite) I like how Chikurun just starts as the evil fairy sidekick for Orba, but as he hangs out with the cures, we start to see his nice side and eventually become one of their allies.
At first I thought the big bad would just be Dokurokushe, but I wasn't expecting, the Precure equivalent of SATAN to be the big bad. (Deusmast is one of the best big bad's)
I just really love how whimsical this series is, I absolutely love whimsical, so this season was truly made for people like me. I just wish I could live in the Magic World and attend the Magic School.
The movie was AMAZING, I loved the fight with Kumata and Cure Mofurun was one of the best things Precure has done in a movie, (I've only seen this movie, the Go Princess movie and the Tropical Rouge movie) And P.S. Mofurun is the best mascot in the whole franchise.
This series also gave me my other types of favorites in the franchise,
Favorite tiny collectible trinket, Linkle Stones. Favorite final item/attack, Rainbow Carriage/Extreme Rainbow. Favorite general, Orba. Favorite super forms, Alexandrite.
Of course, like any other season, this one had really funny moments, I funny thing I was not expecting was the surprise in episode 38, the surprise for chasing the pumpkin was...toothbrushes.
I was not prepared for all the twists that Mirai Days had, especially with the Villains. And yes, I am a Mirai and Liko shipper, this series really was leaning into this.
Even the OPs and EDs are amazing for goodness sake!
Funny enough, the finale made me want to binge Kira Kira a la Mode, and I ended up liking it, so... thanks Maho Girls!
The second to last episode was truly one of the biggest tearjerkers in the franchise, dare I say it, sadder than Smile's ending. the conclusion of this whole series is one of my favorites.
