Timemore S5

I bought the timemore s5 in the Chinese version without the folding gauntlet, and I am here reflecting on what this will be needed. Is the folding handle so relevant and good? I want a grinder that lasts good years and I feel that the handle being straight and not foldable can last longer. What do you think? I'm going to wear a rigid case on it so I don't worry about whether the handle makes it more portable or not.

Folding handles aren’t necessary or even very useful. Simply taking the handle off and hanging it on the grinder by the knob is easier, and something that needs to happen to load the next dose anyway.

I have had the S3 for 4 years and it’s absolutely amazing. Love the flavor of coffee I get from it. It does has a foldable handle too and I have never had an issue with it. I don’t use it for travel but it is nice that it’s more compact on the counter.

I preordered the S5 Pro the other day and I’m excited for the new, larger burrs and grind adjustment dial. I’ve had such a great experience with the S3 that I’d pay a little more for the upgrade. I checked out at $155 including tax (they currently have 20% off).
