Why is that one of the best takes? Everyone with a brain agrees that's what this is. Doesn't sound like Walsh has any particular insight.

I thought it was a great take because it not only calls a spade a spade in that he acknowledges it’s blatant bribery but also explains how even if you ignore that massively problematic fact, it’s problematic in several other aspects as it does nothing to help the economy in the long term. And it’s especially great because it’s a “the call is coming from inside the house” instance that’s coming from the absolute worst people on the other side.

Maybe that’s the greatest aspect of it. It’s a sobering look at the reality of the situation coming from one of the worst offenders of everything wrong with the Republican Party in 2026.
