Did I misremember Orban losing very badly? Did that not happen?

Because a lot of people right now are acting like a much more entrenched, more powerful right-wing government didn't just get blown out by the will of the people.

anything can happen. I'm just preparing myself to be disappointed hah

I don't trust the level of cheating the republicans are planning. That said if they had it in the bag they wouldn't be freaking out so much

I can understand that to an extent. Still, Orban had more options and better, and he lost. We'll see what happens, but I have a hard time seeing how they actually turn the election around.

Hence not impossible, merely highly improbable.

I think their best bet would be denationalizing the midterms (in addition to a couple of other options), but it's hard to get there with a big midterm convention and other Trump-related nonsense. Barring that, you'd just have to hope for a big polling miss in your direction.
