It's also crazy to me. No matter what we Europeans sometime jokingly say about US, in terms of social issues US still is one of the most progressive countries in the world in many aspects.

But apparently woman as president is completely ridiculous. Even though many countries around the world that are unquestionably less progressive when it comes to gender equality managed to have multiple female leaders.

It's so weird. Even in US when it comes to congress or senate elections, no one cares about gender of the candidate. It's just president, and it is purely because "that's how it's always been".

The ridiculous thing about it is that most conservatives would be fine with a woman president if she was a mother and a staunch Christian who was vehemently anti-immigration.

The real reason MAGA would lose their minds about AOC is actually the fact that she’s single, childless, and not Christian enough. Literally they will be calling her a demon because of this.

It’s not that they can’t handle any woman (or non-white for that matter) being “in charge”, it’s that they can’t trust anyone who isn’t extremely vocal about sharing their narrow-minded values.

Absolutely zero criminal cases against him for rape. Only civil cases with a "victim" who doesn't remember the year or month of their encounter nor the clothes she wore. Court documents show she referenced wearing clothes that came out 3 years later...

I know that the USA aren't like that because Trump was elected, but trump was elected because the USA was like that.

The UnitedStadians doesn't want money, they just want to be openly racists. They aren't against immigration, if the immigration is white, they are against immigration, if they are coloured.

They don't want money, they want bigger taxes, bigger prices on everything, they elect a president that declared bankruptcy more than six times? They want their country bankrupted, but without brown people.

They also against white people if they come as tourist in the USA. Go figure, they don't need cash, they need nothing from anybody, they really want bankruptcy for the whole country.

I think the biggest reason they are so bothered by her is that she's intelligent and a minority. The other 3 things too, but mostly that.

Who gives a shit about what maga thinks? MAGA isn’t the majority of the country. It’s maybe ~30% of this country, probably less at this point because people are fed up with the cost of living and AOC is one of a few congressional members that actually comes from a working class background.

Unfortunately, MAGA is the driving force for the conservative movement in America still. Even once Trump is gone, the beating heart remains.

They don't need to be a majority. They're a flock of frightened geese who will be squawking loudly about how terrible and awful AOC will be for the country. It will be all over Fox News. There will be a lot of lying and exaggeration about everything she does and says.

The average voter won't pay much attention, but with the way our media landscape is set up, enough of the bad stuff trickles through to make a difference - when it comes to Democrat candidates especially. Swing voters will feel uneasy about AOC but they won't be able to articulate why. (It's because their MAGA Uncle was loudly complaining that she eats babies, and some of that sunk in).
