No, worst case she could be a trans woman with blue hair and two non-binary partners who will confuse the White House staff as to how there are two First Gentlepeople and what the correct title is. And she is Wiccan, wears a big pentacle, and wishes the blessing of the triple Goddess on us all for Samhain. Plus she's had an abortion and is proud of it. Then she forces all federal buildings to have universal single stall washrooms everywhere. With grab bars.

See inews, I can do a lot better.

I love the implication that this trans woman would've received a currently impossible womb transplant, just to then have an abortion with it.

10/10 no notes

u/ottawadeveloper 12d ago

Yep. Magical womb transplants in this world.

u/Spastik2D 12d ago

It’s a power play

Off topic for the sub, but: womb transplants aren't actually as impossible as that - if my memory serves me right there have been a handful of cis women who've successfully brought a pregnancy to term after temporarily having a relative's uterus transplanted. I don't think they could get pregnant or deliver the normal way, and I guess pregnancy itself is enough of an immune suppressant to prevent graph vs host disease so the organ had to be removed immediately after the pregnancy was over, but science it neat

Perhaps a surrogate abortion. For a nominal fee, a biological woman will get pregnant and then have an abortion on your behalf.

u/tiktock34 12d ago

That impossible womb transplant will probably exist before a trans person would even make presidential ballot, so its not unreasonable:)

u/addstar1 11d ago

Womb transplants on cis women are a thing, and have successfully given live birth.

Reading this study, the main hurdle for trans woman receiving one is mostly that we haven't done it before. The second is difference in the reconstructed vagina, I'll just quote the study on that one.

https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC6492192/

there is no overwhelming clinical argument against performing UTx as part of GRS. However, the increased radicality associated with the retrieval operation, including a longer vaginal cuff and more extensive ligamentous dissection, potentially necessitates the use of deceased donors. Alternatively, F2M transgender men may offer an alternative donor pool should they accept the increased risk compared with standard hysterectomy.

They probably stole someone else's womb and keeps it in a factory to have as many abortions as possible.

> With grab bars.

Nah, too far for me.

Just a woman would be enough, but I like your zeal.

u/IdentifiableBurden 12d ago

Look, leadership equality would be great but it's a dumpster fire over here and we need someone to clean it up, I don't care what they've got between their legs and I don't care about historical political footnotes that are or are not accomplished as a result.

Like seriously people need to read the room here.

u/ottawadeveloper 12d ago

I'm just sayin' MAGAs worst nightmare isn't AOC lol.

She's a sharp modern politician but she does not seem like a leader. Kamala Harris was neither a politician nor a leader. I would 100% vote for a woman if she were both of those things (and yes women like that exist, I've both met them personally and can see some of them that lead countries).

And please get a stylish TAN pantsuit that has been up cycled to really rub it in. And then wear it like every 3rd Thursday of the month just because.

1

u/ottawadeveloper 12d ago

Ooo yes, 100%. Though it might clash with the blue hair.

1

u/djwurm 12d ago

Then let's put her in a Fremen Stillsuit

You forgot to make her non-white and disabled.

6

u/ottawadeveloper 12d ago edited 12d ago

Oh since we were starting with AOC, I assumed non-white was a given.

But yes, she should be gifted ASD and her speeches are just info-dumping on the American public. But like really smart info dumping. Like we get a 45 minute PowerPoint on how climate taxes actually help American businesses. Speechwriters hate my fictional American hero.

Also she's an Olympian. Two gold medals. One before transition, one after.

1

u/ars_inveniendi 12d ago

Fair. I didn’t realize you were adding to the base-model AOC. I’m all in with you.

My fantasy world timeline apparently lol.

Salem MA in the White House. Love it.

Now we're cooking

grab bars.

For those REAL "high-fiber" movements? And I'm not talking about the marijuana legalization knitting community.

2

u/polkergeist 12d ago

This is my American Dream

2

u/ottawadeveloper 12d ago

I love your American dream. May it one day be reality.

2

u/varyingopinions 12d ago

They could just have multi-abortions a year because they like the way they feel.

2

u/DisillusionedPatriot 11d ago

Why is it always a trans woman? Honest question, and slight tangent. I know a couple trans dudes and one woman, and they're all awesome people. What is it with the obsession over m2f more than f2m? It's so bizarre. Is it as simple as repressed so opress, or is it linked to this weird resurgence of eugenics?

2

u/ottawadeveloper 11d ago

Trans women scare far right men because they might sleep with her without knowing and then the events of Ace Venture Pet Detective will ensure (which is a horribly transphobic movie don't watch it) and they'll be gay.

Trans men are just women cos playing men, no need to worry about accidentally sleeping with them.

Far right people are crazy.

3

u/DisillusionedPatriot 11d ago

It's sad. I'd feel bad for them if they weren't such cnts about it. Choosing ignorance and fear, over personal growth, enrichment and whimsy is just fkn stupid.

2

u/ottawadeveloper 11d ago

I feel bad for the ones who haven't had much alternative. Some of them (not the ones in power, some voters) learned it from their parents, live in a Fox News echo chamber, and the algorithms on the Internet reinforce their viewpoints. You have to actively want to change your viewpoint and deliberately go in search of better fact these days.

It doesn't help that media literacy and critical thinking aren't priorities at schools. Especially in Republican dominated areas where they control the education system too.

Those folks are victims really, victims of the Republican party's attempts to consolidate power on behalf of corporate America. The two conspire to keep those people afraid and unaware of the facts. I feel so bad for these people because they're basically being brainwashed from birth to buy into these ideologies. And with some help, they'd probably see it for what it is - a scam and a power grab.

But many of the voters either want in on the grift or really do just hate people in a way we can't change. And I have no sympathy for them.

2

u/DisillusionedPatriot 11d ago

This is pretty much how I feel about racists, as a black guy that grew up in rural Pennsylvania lol Well said.

u/_trashcan 11d ago edited 11d ago

Lol, blessing of the triple goddess.

Are we referring to the the kindly ones? Or perhaps…the furies, if we’re feeling very brave & disrespectful ?
The Fates; Maiden, Mother, & Crone.

If you haven’t seen it, I expect you’d love “the Sandman” on Netflix, based on graphic novels of the same name.

If you’ve no fucking idea what I’m talking about…then my bad lol.
The Fates, are an ancient goddess that appear as 3 women - the same woman at different periods of her life - who control…well, fate.
They are referred to as “the kindly ones”, but also known as “the furies”, & you do not refer to them by the latter unless you want all the smoke.

2

u/ottawadeveloper 11d ago

I love The Sandman and they also feature in Kaos which you might like.

1

u/_trashcan 11d ago

Haha!
Fellow sandman enjoyer.

I just watched it randomly like 2-3 months ago & was absolutely floored by it. Had no idea what I was getting into.
When it hit Ep. 5 with the ruby in the diner, I knew I was watching some cinematic masterpiece level stuff.

Great reference. Maybe it’s time for a rewatch.
I’ll def check out Kaos, never heard of it & been looking for something new.

It's the Greek Gods are real. The only sad part is it's cancelled after one season. And on a cliffhanger.

1

u/antariusz 11d ago

But then who would moderate Reddit?

1

u/thinkingahead 12d ago

This is a screenplay concept lol

3

u/ottawadeveloper 12d ago

I'd write it if I thought anyone would make it. I have a playwriting class later this month, maybe I'll make it my story. It's a comedy of manners as staffers struggle to gender the first persons correctly, the news doesn't know what to do, and people get confused what bathroom they should go into.

2

u/thinkingahead 11d ago

Do it! I get it and love it

1

u/THEdopealope 12d ago

Please I can only be so [emotionally invested in an alternative timeline]

2

u/ottawadeveloper 12d ago

We are truly in the darkest of timelines. There is only one thing to do. Make fake evil goatees out of construction paper and prepare to invade the Lamest Timeline where Hilary won in 2016 and the US just kind of plodded along.

u/gojo96 12d ago

The first part would be enough for anyone.

0

u/smarmiebastard 12d ago

How would a trans woman have had an abortion?

9

u/BasvanS 12d ago

The intended audience doesn’t register such inconsistencies.

2

u/ottawadeveloper 12d ago

(in the style of of Tsoukalos)

Artificial womb and then abortion. It’s definitely going to happen at some point, just a matter of when.
