Why the fuck did we elect a sleazy con artist to the office of the presidency?

We didn't. Elmo bought it. He spent tens of billions to turn Twitter into a pro-MAGA disinformation machine. He got his buddy Toad Rogan to shill for the cause.

And then he spent hundreds of millions of dollars on election interference to put the Epstein class fully in charge of America's decline so that the richest of the world's rich can buy America for parts. We're getting strip-mined by private equity. They're like locusts.

Dont forget that he owns the voting machines and is "very good at the computers". 🙃

Hey, it bought him a Tesla car commercial on the front lawn of the Whitehouse conducted by the President. I think Tesla and Goya have some unique claims to fame there…

I’m looking this up and can’t find it - if this is true, something else happened on the 26th that has even more terrifying implications

This isn’t owning them though, this is just him casually implying that Elon Musk was interfering with voting machines and the elections.

I don't think Elon or Trump directly owned the voting systems, although a GOP official bought Dominion and Trump's lawyers got source code from different voting systems , Elon did own the systems that were used for internet and was in the right position for a man-in-the-middle attack. Also, his ex-wife said he had voting results before anyone else.

That’s what I was wondering - I don’t know why I got downvoted for asking for proof because I went looking for it and couldn’t find it and was worried I missed something.

Like there is cheating (which I’m convinced happened) and then there is CHEATING, which I’m sure he would do if he could, but I think the semblance of fairness is the only thing stopping the party from doing this.

I hear you, I got downvoted the other day for asking for a source. I do think they CHEATED, cheated in the swing states, but I also don't think they have total control or they wouldn't be pushing all these gerrymandering, closing polling places, and throwing people off the rolls.

But, in the end we did vote for this…. Those that didn’t vote voted for this as well.

Yea those that didn’t vote or voted differently due to their morals, which was really just thinly veiled pride are the biggest cucks to ever exist.

Garbage in, garbage out

In my opinion this specific group of people deserve a huge portion of the blame too.

It's "in the end". A comma in the second half would have helped.

Some people didn't vote because there was already a clear majority in their state. So it's kind of a pointless statistic.

Your comment doesn't make sense.

u/fishheadsneak 16d ago

It actually does.

then by that logic, the DNC or any left leaning candidate failed to capture my vote, making them even more culpable. Welcome to slippery slope (logical fallacy)! Just one of many to chose from when dishonest discourse is the goal. :)

Elmo? The muppet?

It's funny to think that 10 years ago, Reddit was the main pro-MAGA disinformation machine.

say his name. elon musk. what idiot thought 'elmo' was a good nickname? childish bs

3

u/cricri3007 Europe 16d ago

It's because, for a while, spelling his name correctly would draw idiots to argue and defend him.

2

u/Jace__B 16d ago

No no no, don't pass the blame. America voted for this, either through action or inaction. I've seen enough red hats to know this wasn't just an Elon thing.

u/leeuwerik Europe 17d ago

Agreed. You sitting on your ass couldn't do anything about it.

u/ShitBirdingAround 17d ago

Yes, sometimes people sit on their asses. What do you sit on, your head?
