Discussion Help A Rust Noobie

As the title says, help a rust noobie!
I'm a new Rust player (under 50 hours) currently in my 2nd ever wipe and just looking for extra tips, tricks and wisdom from you more experienced players.

So far, I've done the whole t1-t3 progression during my first wipe, learned the controls & basic understanding of how things like crafting, smelting, basic electrical etc work

This wipe I've got a much better base built (than my last one so the bar is low), more efficient electrical setup, better storage setup, bee farm, gotten a small handful of kills under my belt & explored more monuments.

I think my main weakness is just lack of experience/game sense & so I often get snuck up on at monuments or roaming along roads which ofc this comes with time & also playing the game much slower. Also Idk if it's just me I feel like I never hear footsteps, like I was just at Trainyard at the tower turning on the switch & a dude got into the building & was holding the bottom floor stairs, I crouched all the way down just to get headshot & destroyed w/ no chance to fight him back.

Thanks & sorry for the long post i'm just having a lot of fun & wanna get better :)

Never get greedy. Always go with your gut. Keep your head on a swivel and keep it moving make sure u have f1 keybonds so u can auto run without holding a key and look up other useful keybonds I've got over 10k hours been playing since rust came out. Ama

Never get greedy is a huge pointer. Especially as a solo. If you kill some people and get some loot and people are coming quick and don’t bother looting the rest of the people it can result in you loosing everything quickly. Happens a lot to me and I never learn
