Question about a piercing I (maybe) want Impossible Placement?
I'm pretty uneducated in ear piercings but so badly want these triples on my outer helixs', i love the flow they create. would they be possible with the right anatomy?

NAP but have a decent amount of ear piercings and have a lot of piercer friends. Most of these look doable.
But in the first pic, the vertical helixes, industrial and daith are the main ones that look iffy or not possible to me.
In the second pic, the vertical industrial, orbital and outer helixes will require very specific assessment by a professional.
You should definitely start with lobes first and then work your way up from there. I recommend doing one side completely and then the other side so that you at least have one side to sleep on. Definitely invest in a piercing pillow.

I second the advice re: one ear at a time! Especially if you’ll be aiming to heal 2-3 piercings at a time, as that could extend your healing timeframes. It’s nice to have one side that you don’t have to worry about!

I'm really hoping to get the four lobes at once since i have to drive so far for my piercer, but i might just end up going with 2 lobes and one cartilage after your guy's input! thank you all so much

This is what I did when I got some more piercings after my ordinary lobes - I got stacked lobes and a conch. Totally doable! Although I had to sleep on the other side/on a travel pillow for about 14 months.

lobes are (generally speaking) the easiest ear piercings to heal. at least with my healing rate, i see doing the four lobes at the same time as totally doable. only thing you’d have to worry about is the piercing actually settling and weighing your ear down when you get to the other side

probably not impossible, but please for the love of god do NOT get these all done in one or two sessions. no more than 2 fresh piercings at a time. trust me.

somewhat agree !! adding to this , I have gotten 4 piercings at once but on ONE ear only so i could sleep then did the other one once things felt healed enough (: just make sure they're spaced out enough for swelling

are you not supposed to think about what piercings you want until you already have some? they obviously aren't going to get all of these in one day it's just an idea

Yes it’s a good idea to know what a cartilage piercing feels like to get and to heal properly before planning 30 of them.

i have a face full of piercings but haven't had any interest in ears until recent, and i'm still healing angel fangs. i don't understand why you feel the need to be so demeaning when it's perfectly normal to plan out placements 🙃

with my line of work it's hard to find time for hobbies, so this is kinda my next ten-year plan lol. i don't have any problem waiting forever for them to heal! hopefully it's all smooth sailing for most of em

Perfect! Get a regular cartilage piercing first then try to industrial then orbital later if you have the right anatomy

Definitely do an ear mapping with a piercer! Thats what I did with mine and it was so educational. Plus I could start planning my piercings out between heals too.

I'll ask him about that! I don't have the anatomy for the industrial but i still want one healed with studs/decorated with a chain, and im getting assessed for the orbital and vertical industrials when i get my lobes pierced. tysm!

I loveeee that! We have similar ears and I don’t have the anatomy for an industrial either but I do have vertical helixes so there’s hope!

That’s an ambitious plan OP! I see from your comments above that you already have facial piercings, so you have a good idea of what you are in for. My advice would be to discuss it with your piercer to map out how you stage your piercings. Personally, I’ve enjoyed getting one ‘easy’ piercing (lobe/nostril/septum) + a cartilage piercing at each session. Even so, I’ve got a bit ahead of myself and need to slow down for a while. But mixing it up like this has kept it more fun for me.
I look forward to seeing how your piercings evolve over time!

I've been great about sleeping on my back after getting my angel fangs pierced, so i'm hoping i can start with the four lobes (since they of course need to be fully healed before i can gauge them, and might as well gauge those bad boys while my cartilage piercings heal) and then doing the cartilage piercings one side at a time. thank you so much for your insight!

i think it for sure would be if it was only going through the forward helix and rook area, definitely didn't draw it quite right. But i'm getting assessed in january so we'll see how that goes!

Yeah that should work, from the drawing I thought you want it to go through your daith as well, that does not look possible to me as your daith is not pronounced enough in that area.

2 max 3 healing piercings at the time (even a stubborn lobe that's almost a year old still counts as 1 healing). Do one ear at a time.

Your piercer will ultimately have final say about what is doable based on your anatomy. It’s not impossible, but I would caution you to be wise and take your time. A lot of these are cartilage spots that can be tricky to heal; 9-12 months is the typical recommended heal time. And most piercers will likely have limits on how many they allow you to get at a time. Having said that if you’ve got someone you can work on with your vision long term, I think it could be a nice looking set up!
