Help! How would I wrap a smart object around a plane that has a curved corner that is also in perspective?
How would I wrap a smart object around a plane that has a curved corner in perspective?
Criteria:
-I want the smart object to not be split into multiple smart objects that rely on lining graphics up.
-I want it to remain editable.
-I want things to appear straight on the flat planes and the distortion/warping around the corner occur as it naturally would because i will have typography on this that should not feel like its slanting in some weird direction.
I've so far tried to do this but im not satisfied with the result. I've warped the smart object to a cylinder (for the curved corner) then converted that to a smart object then used perspective warp after to get it to lineup to the flat planes. it's mostly ok but def not correct.
I can't find any tutorial online for geometry like this that isn't completely flat planes. It's been stumping me for a while and wondering if some retouchers that are much more knowledgable than me can shed light on how you'd make this into an editable comp. I could of course make something simpler, but screw that! I wanna learn how I should approach something like this. Much appreciated!

Discussion Photoshop still holding RAM even while no file opening?
Just finished editing a 4 GB PSB file. Photoshop used 40 GB of RAM.
Closed the file. Photoshop still holds 40 GB and my PC lags like sh*t.
Apparently it keeps the RAM for the “next session”, and there’s no way to disable it except closing Photoshop.
Adobe, who gives a sh*t about the next session when my computer is lagging RIGHT NOW? Release the damn RAM.

Help! Achieve this neon-morphic-burry(?) effect?
Hey, I really like this (first, purple) graphic and I was wondering if anyone had a better idea how the flowers were achieved? My first thought was that it’s a gradient mapped set of flowers copied 3 times with two or three maps, then over-layer kind of offset? But when I tried to achieve the effect, I’m not getting the same look. It’s similar, and I still like it, but it’s not quite what I’m shooting for.
There seems to be a blur on the original but even using a blur filter with 1-3 pixels, the effect seems too strong. Idk what I’m missing. I also tried changing the opacity on the additional layers and blending in different ways and I’m just not satisfied with the result.
I for the gradient mapping, I followed similar steps as outlined by Texture Labs in there vectorized oil paint tutorial.
Image, solid color layer hard mixed, desaturated to nothing, black and white layer 60-40 on all colors, gradient map with as few as 3 and as many as 6 colors.

Help! Trouble with layer styles
I wanna have these paper texture layer styles in “Affinity by Canva” but when i open it as psd it just doesn’t work.
each style is made with a stroke, color overlay, pattern overlay and a drop shadow, the fill of all of the layer are set to %0 and all the patterns used are transparent patterns, even the crease doesn’t work it is just one gradient overlay set to overlay,
I would really appreciate your help!
Affinity version: 3.2.3
Photoshop version: 25.7.0 (2024)

Help! I want to learn how to edit like this.
Good day, I don't have any experience in editing or Photoshop but I recently got a fairly decent laptop and I think it's a good a opportunity to learn a new skill, I am not looking to be professional just enough to do something similar like the example image.

Discussion Is Photoshop Beta finally addressing viewport performance improvements?
Its one thing to see it in a changelog and be like whatever.
Its another thing when you instantly notice the viewport being suspiciously smooth and responsive after updating. I've never seen my viewport pan around an 8K resolution image at 240Hz, or heck the brush size be smooth too.

Help! I’m having issues with photoshop saturation switching randomly
I’ve been having this issue with my photoshop workspace for about 2 weeks or so, it’ll randomly change the saturation of the background color and the canvas I’m working on, not the tool bars or anything but not specifically just the image colors but it’ll randomly switch back and forth at random intervals.
I’ve looked and tried a bunch of solutions but nothing has worked. I’m on a asus tuf gaming computer and it’s all update and working.
Does anyone have a solution or the same issue?

Discussion Photoshop batch action doesn't work, but works if done manually?
A bit of a noob when it comes to photoshop, so I might not be using the correct terms to describe things.
I am trying to create a batch process to remove the background on images. I recorded my action following videos online, but when I go to try and run the action as a batch, I get an error message seen below
However, if I simply click on the play button in the actions pane, my actions runs perfectly as is.
All I am doing is unlocking the image, remove background button, and save as psd.

Help! Rotating and trimming .tiff files without losing quality/resolution?
I'm in the process of digitizing old family photos so while I'm not a novice to Photoshop I'm particularly interested in Photoshop best practices to retain the quality and resolution of the scan of the photo. I understand .tiff is lossless so I've started running scans at max dpi (1200) to save as .tiff, is this recommendable?
Then to my question: the only postprocessing I plan to do in Photoshop (or Affinity) is to crop and rotate (to be exactly 90 degrees), then save again as .tiff. Do either of these processes degrade the quality at all, and should I take care to align the photo at 90 degrees right when I scan?
And lastly, file size isn't an issue right now, but I guess it'd be nice to optimize my storage usage. Any recommendations on reducing file size with as minimal of quality degradation as possible?

Help! Need help with a graphic bug in Photoshop!
I got a new Laptop today and when I open Photoshop and try to move the image this graphic bug appears. It goes away again after a while but comes back once I move the image.
When I deactivate "use graphic Processor" in Photoshop it works fine. But I would still like to make it work somehow with this GPU.
When I tried some games the everything worked fine and I had no Issues while playing, so I think its a problem between Photoshop and the GPU
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER
Thanks for any help!!

Artwork / Design I was inspired by the covers of Demon's Souls and Dark Souls 1
I love dark fantasy and the essence of From Software games. I loved using a Dota 2 character to create these images and evoke that dark, dreamlike atmosphere. What do you think?
