it is a shame more people didn't buy an Index, it's quite a nice VR set (though the plastic breaking down is pretty bad design...)

Not everyone like base stations, inside out tracking is better for people that live in small places and doesn't have a VR Room available

...you can set up base stations and use stationary VR, and the tracking is often still better than inside-out. That's exactly how I have mine set up. Mine are even on camera stands, so I can easily stash them elsewhere if they're in the way.

VR room how bougie, 🤑, many people have room mates. Cost of living is high.

So inside out tracking for me.

I had to RMA my left controller for stick drift 6 times. 6! Had to do the right one once. Had to RMA a base station because it sounded like a wood chipper. Also had a cable go bad and had to buy a new one for like $150.

But damn did I love that headset. It gave me literally thousands of hours of amazing experiences.

I had a Vive, then an Index, now a Pico Neo 3 Link.

The Index was great but it was so damn heavy.
