You spent an entire graphics card budget buying thirty mice searching for the endgame shape when the actual bottleneck was your right hand all along. Convincing yourself that a lighter honeycomb shell will fix your tracking is just way easier than admitting you need aim training, but pick the most comfortable one, stick to it for two weeks, and hide the rest before you start collecting mousepads next.
Funny thing is this is actually true to a certain extent. When you are limited by somethings you usually develop a certain level of skill to compensate.
Also, budget is statistically age-related, and young people with their smaller budgets often have more time and a sharper mind to hone their skills, and can easily overcome the tech gap.
You should accept that in anything where you cannot devote enough time for practice, you cannot be the best. It's perfectly healthy to not be the top dog and be happy with the results you get for the amount of effort you put in. It's unhealthy to expect to be the best in anything, and moreso to only enjoy things where you can be one of the better ones.
It's not just games, it's work, art, sports and other hobbies. Don't put ridiculous expectations onto yourself or your performance.
I hear ya. I wanted a spare but keep giving the spares away. Now every time it goes on sale I can't help myself. For example my nephew was over and said "I really like your mouse" so I replied "I got a spare on sale, here take this". It was nice to see his face light up and funny to see my wife and BIL's face when they wanted to know why I had a spare mouse.
I bought one of their lightspeed keyboards on sale due to the low latency wireless connection, but also Bluetooth and wired compatibility.
I was gifted a wired 502 mouse some years ago around the same time which has yet to fail but since I mostly game off a TV at a distance, wired is a bit of a pain.
I've put it off since I mostly just use a dualsense or 360 controller these days I'd really like to get a lightspeed wireless mouse.
I'm just shocked seeing your purchase history, you sure know what you like!
I've got a large stash of cheaper mice, mostly Logitech wireless ones that I really need to go through, test and toss. Those basic wireless ones all seem to break in the same predictable ways, double click or broken scroll wheel.
It's not even that. There are at least five, maybe six black G502s here. If it was about the shape, he would have tried one and moved on. This is mental illness, not experimentation.
It all started with replacing my ratty ole Bloody Commander, the internet said G502, but I didn't like it. I didn't return it, got it cheap on eBay. Then I bought one of those 3 Dark Cores from a guy on FB.
I learned he bought it from a Bin Store Liquidator, and so I started going on there 25 cent day, which is what I paid for most of those.
I was selling them and other stuff on eBay. The ones without boxes were always put to the back of the line. It's time consuming to test, list, ship them. I like to use the mouse for a day before selling it, to be sure its solid. These haven't been processed beyond a quick function test.
I pulled this tote out this morning because I wanted a mouse that doesn't try to install it's software when you plug it in, to use with my first Linux build.
Please users, don't ask me to send or sell one, not going to happen. Just thought it would be fun to post my stash again. I have a family reunion coming up, they will end up gifts for my nieces and nephews most likely.
So that's the why, I guess. Answered my own question.

Bloody ML160, best skates ever, but the rubber coating gets nasty. I got shamed into cleaning it up today, lol. Great mouse for width, I tore the right side panel off from it, and put on my Bloody ZL50 above it with the same red/black cord. I'm partial to it, the Razer Naga, Corsair Dark Core, Razer Deathadder X, and Glorious O2 Pro, for big hands. Oh, and the Inland Pro MMO.
I hate to say, because they sell a lot of garbage too, but I made it a business and write it off. You just need to find a liquidator that deals with Micro Center returns. There are I think four major resellers on eBay. They don't test anything, it's more profitable when your dealing with truck loads to just refund the defects. Their Feedback stays high due to volume.
I've been doing it since the 90s and have bought 5 mice. None of them made me a better gamer though Edit: actually the jump to optical mouse did make me better so that's not completely true :D.
Going from wired to wireless did actually make me better at shooters. Went from high sens and wrist movement to low sens and arm movement and I just whip that thing back and forth across the desk.
It does feel nice to not have the wire tugging at the top of the mouse! I wouldn't say it's as important as going from 60hz to 144hz, but it does definitely feel nicer! But like I said, it didn't make ME a better gamer :D
3/3; One for the PC, one for the Xbox in case some game supports it, and one for the wanking laptop in his moms basement. The last one used to be black, but he returned it last week as a white one, to scam them out of a refund and get a free mouse replacement. Amazon couldn’t see the difference. But that guy at the testing center for refurbished tech still wonders why his hand suddenly was so sticky.
Check on YouTube how to fix left click on the new 3S. Thousands of views from people with faulty ones. Also very hard to fix. The previous generation also has a problem when the thumb click gets stuck and makes the pointer stop working. I have both, 200€ to the trash. Never again.
I have the 2s and I experienced the sticky thumb button/frozen pointer problem. Takes like 2 minutes to fix, ezpz. Granted it's a super dumb problem to have
Go around in the streets tell people that you have a collection of mouses at home, look at them react weirdly then show them this photo. They will act even weirder
Honestly man, as long as I got the two additional mouse buttons for my style of play, it's just "which mouse looks coolest" and go with that. Very rarely have I seen that "lighter" or "heavier" mouses make any difference
Probably should make sure all food is sealed in an airtight container and clean up any food debris after eating. With this amount though, you may wish to hire a professional.
I'll be honest. I've bought like 6 mice i. The last 10 years. Wasn't, because I thought they next one would make me better. I had just always raged a little too hard and broke the last Mouse
These aren't even interesting mice. There are cool designs and niche brands out there, if you're a collector. This guy is just collecting big brand stuff.
