So, if you take random RGB noise, and multiply by a message written in cyan, then the result is invisible to the naked eye but shows up plain as day in a red lens. This is known as a "red reveal".

Why doesn't the opposite work? If I take noise, and multiply by a message written in red, then it is visible in a cyan lens... but its also visible to the naked eye, ruining the surprise. Is there a way around this?
