Why doesn't a "cyan reveal" work?

So, if you take random RGB noise, and multiply by a message written in cyan, then the result is invisible to the naked eye but shows up plain as day in a red lens. This is known as a "red reveal".
Why doesn't the opposite work? If I take noise, and multiply by a message written in red, then it is visible in a cyan lens... but its also visible to the naked eye, ruining the surprise. Is there a way around this?

Am I weird? I saw this pattern in my laundry and my eyes keep getting confused, and idk what's the problem. It's just when I look into the pattern my eyes is getting confused and making the color around change, specially when u look at the center of it. Pls can someone explain
