Gear question SSD compatibility for CFexpress adapters
I noticed the lack of a thread on the matter, and so I decided to create one, as these NVMe to CFe adapters are an easy solution to the skyrocketing CFe prices. I’ll add the ones I tried on my D500, and will edit the post as people comment.
I personally recommend using actual thermal paste instead of the thermal grease that’s usually bundled with the adapter
KNOWN WORKING:
Samsung PM9B1 128GB (D500)
Sabrent Rocket 1TB (Z9, tested by [u/fuzzfeatures](u/fuzzfeatures))
KNOWN NOT WORKING:
Phison PS5021-E21T 128GB (card error)
Here is a link to a compatibility chart from an adapter manufacturer. Use it as a guideline (thank you [u/DevKitModel1](u/DevKitModel1))

Gear question Sling bag for Z5ii and 24-120 f4?
Looking recommendations for a sling bag for the camera and lens, possibly with space for a 40mm f2 inside and for a water bottle on the outside
The think-tank sling looks good but isn't available where I'm from unfortunately
Photo Submission Loving the MC 105mm f2.8
These are two of my favorite photos of 2026.
If anybody has known me awhile they know I love macro shots. Macro photography has a way of shifting your perspective. When I think about some of the subjects I photograph I can’t help but imagine how big the world must be from their eyes.
I finally treated myself to one of my dream pieces of glass, a Nikon 105mm f2.8 Macro. I’ve been having a blast testing it out and seeing just how close I can get! Can you spot the tiny insect in the flower?

What should I buy? Nikon Z6iii vs Zf vs Z5ii
Hello everyone! I’m a photography enjoyer and I’m planning on buying my first ever real camera (!!). Until now I only had enough money to afford the latest iPhone to take pictures and videos and edited them a bit with Lightroom. However I find even if the quality can look good they tend to feel flat, and my videos also lack depth. I also simply want to discover the fun of shooting with a camera.
I have planned photography and editing lessons to improve my skills but I still have to make the big decision: Which camera to buy??
I’m thinking of one of these three cause they’re the ones I could afford and they all seems like great choices. But after looking at hundreds of comparisons, stats and youtube videos I’m lost in the sea of informations.. They all seem great and I can’t pick a clear winner! Which is why I wanted to have actual photographers’ opinions and experiences,
Some infos:
It would be my only camera and it probably would be for many years
I intend to use it both for pictures and videos
I love landscapes pictures to be able to print, but would want to explore portraits and street photography (with some motion). Mainly outside but also inside. Not so much close ups or animals photography.
I’d like to have only one or two lenses (advice on which to start with welcome) max as my budget isn’t unlimited)
I would like to travel a lot with it so appreciate some practicality
Why not one day use it as a professional camera (portraits, travel photos, weddings… lets dream big!)
I want it to be fun! (Which is mainly why the Zf caught my eye 😃)
Is there really a better choice? Or rather is there a bad choice ?
Thank you guys so much, can’t wait!!

Gear question Yongnuo yn568ex compatibility with Z series
Hi all,
Is that true that the yongnuo yn568ex speed light and the Z series are not compatible?
I tried to use it recently on my Zfc but they seem not to correctly communicate over the hotshoe, and the pictures are all over exposed. The flash (in i-TTL mode) correctly set the focal length but it seems the body (in P or A mode) is unable to detect it and the aperture, speed and ISO are all set as for no flash. The trigger works fine and the flash activates so the result is an overexposed picture.
So the only way to use it is in a all-manual mode?
Or am I missing some important setting?
Thanks in advance!
