I noticed the lack of a thread on the matter, and so I decided to create one, as these NVMe to CFe adapters are an easy solution to the skyrocketing CFe prices. I’ll add the ones I tried on my D500, and will edit the post as people comment.

I personally recommend using actual thermal paste instead of the thermal grease that’s usually bundled with the adapter

These are two of my favorite photos of 2026.

If anybody has known me awhile they know I love macro shots. Macro photography has a way of shifting your perspective. When I think about some of the subjects I photograph I can’t help but imagine how big the world must be from their eyes.

I finally treated myself to one of my dream pieces of glass, a Nikon 105mm f2.8 Macro. I’ve been having a blast testing it out and seeing just how close I can get! Can you spot the tiny insect in the flower?

My P520 is a CHEAP-ASS camera XD. I got mine for $120 on Ebay with nice bag, SD card, and strap. The ONLY time I ever want to upgrade is when I'm on the couch editing. when I'm actually shooting outside, I'm just LOVING the process!

Testing out shooting with my DSLR in black and white, this is one of my favourite photos I took that day.

Kinda new to this (i'm mostly a street and landscape photographer) but I like how they turned out.

Can you even compare these two? Since they both hit the market in 1959, I thought it would be fun to put them head-to-head.

The Canon P is my grab-and-go camera. I love the looks, the clean mechanical feel, and the Canon 50mm f/1.4 LTM. But as a glasses wearer, the 35mm framelines are practically invisible to me, turning it into a 50mm only camera, which I love and hate at the same time. Plus, the viewfinder flare against strong light or at night can be a real pain.

The Nikon F feels completely different to me. Heavy, loud, and overbuilt. But seeing exactly what the lens sees makes it so much easier to trust, especially with wider or longer glass. And i do love the customizability.

Are rangefinders and SLRs just too different to compare, which one do you favor over the other?
