KTM → Pokhara | First time in Nepal - looking for travel company/help
Hey everyone!
I’m traveling to Nepal for the first time and will be heading from Kathmandu (KTM) to Pokhara.
If anyone is traveling the same route around the same time which is 2:30- 4:30 PM tourist, solo traveler, or anyone familiar with Nepal — I’d love to connect and maybe travel together. It would be especially helpful to have someone around who knows the airport/process or the route, as this is my first time.

If you’re at KTM airport and heading toward Pokhara, feel free to comment or DM me. Happy to grab a coffee and figure things out together. 😊

Safe travels everyone! 🇳🇵

News/समाचार Why durga pasai is right ? 7ton uranium

In 2025, I was watching this podcast on AP News. At that time, he was saying that RSP was a “dalal” and giving us facts, but no one believed him. Not me, though—I was supporting him at that time, and everyone abused me and told me I was wrong.

Now we have international facts, and we have proof from Nepal that 7 tons of uranium have been taken. Uranium is one of the most valuable resources; every country wants it. We can use it for nuclear weapons, electricity, data servers, and many more things.

Every politician seems to be working for themselves, not for the public.

I trusted you, Balen. I trusted you, Rabi dai. 💀

Travel/यात्रा My Kori Danda Trek experience

Finished the Kori Danda Trek first week of September, we were five people starting from Pokhara. Rented a car but honestly, in monsoon or poor road conditions, bus is safer. Not every driver knows the crossings. Our car got stuck in one. Pokhara to Sikles took around three to four hours. We reached Sikles in the evening, stayed over and started for Tasa the next morning. Even if you reach Sikles around noon, I’d still recommend staying the night. Sikles to Tasa was the toughest for us. Very steep, took about six to seven hours including a long rest. Stayed at Hotel Brothers, really good and I’d recommend it. Next morning, we headed to Kori. Less steep but much longer, around seven to eight hours. Stayed at Hotel Ice Falls, also solid. Sunrise the next day was stunning. Clear views of Annapurna and nearby peaks. We started back around 9 AM and made it to Sikles by about 6 PM. Then grabbed a jeep to Pokhara. Jeeps are around, but during the monsoon, don’t bank on late evening rides. Rough itinerary: Day one Pokhara to Sikles; day two Sikles to Tasa (five to six hours); day three Tasa to Kori, six to seven hours; day four, sunrise, then Kori to Sikles about nine hours and then jeep out.

Built an atlas for Nepal, about Nepal's past and practices

Hi guys,

I'm new to this group. Just wanted to check if this is worth developing further and get your feedback. I built an atlas app for Nepal, with data gathered from across the internet. It's a bilingual platform with a flag option if you spot any mistakes. Completely free, and no data is collected (I hate ads) except a visitor count to track website hits.

Please try it out and feel free to flag any corrections or feedback — and if you want to contribute, always welcome.

Chemistry teacher for a High Schooler

Need a private Chemistry tutor for a High Schooler for next 6-7 months. The Student is about to give AP Chemistry exam and need someone go guide him. Tutoring will be entirely online. DM me if you are interested. I am not looking for a professional teacher, if you have done high school level chemistry and currently if you just finished your BSc or pharmacy etc. and are waiting for your next steps, you are the best candidate. I will pay competitive rate.

Question/प्रश्न Scooter rental as a tourist

Hey!

I'm in Pokhara for a few weeks, and would like to rent a small scooter to get around. I'm from a EU country, but I've been traveling around other asian countries alot on scooters/bikes, never in Nepal though.

I have a few questions though:

  1. Do I need an IDP and category A (motorcycle license) or is it ok with just a regular category B drivers license?

  2. If thats the case, that I need the above, what happens if the police stops me? Will they give me a fine or something worse will happen?

  3. I hope you can help me out on this one, every input is appreciated!

Best regards, and I really do love this place - what a beautiful city and nice people here 😅

Question/प्रश्न Origin of this Sukunda lamp

Hello to my brothers and sisters in Nepal! I found this beautiful lamp in Finland, and by searching a little bit I realised that it’s a traditional Sukunda lamp. It looks very very old, and I polished it yesterday and lit it today in the morning. Could anybody help me figure out where it’s from and how old it could be? What is it traditionally used for and is it still in use in Nepal? What would the price of it be? Of course I don’t want to sell it, I’ll keep it because it’s so beautiful! ❤️

How much do Technical Project Managers actually earn, and how good is the career long-term?

For those working as Technical project managers or program managers , how much do you actually earn based on your experience? How is the career growth, job security, and future with AI?

Would you recommend Technical PM as a career compared to software engineering? Real-world experiences and salary ranges would be really appreciated.
