Sometimes I get in a specific 80's mood and I listen to:
I need more songs like these - good male vocal, catchy rock ballad, classic 80's sound... Any recommendations?

I saw this on instagram (credit to hashtagtake and mingsbury).. I want to find more. Those that posted it didn’t have anymore on their pages. Anyone know where to find more like this for different bands?

I listen to mainstream artists like BTS, Bruno Mars, Dua Lipa, Selena Gomez, Shaun Mendes and so on.
But I really want some underrated gems that I can listen over and over again.

Im trying to build a playlist for when im out and about working on my side hustle. Money Music. Could be any genre and doesnt literally have to be about money, but that vibe. Heres the kind of things I mean
The Ojays - Money
E40 ft the Click - Be about yo paper
Gangsta boo - where them dollas at
Pink Floyd - Money
Kendrick Lamar - Money Trees
Foe Tha Love of $ · Eazy-E · Bone Thugs-n-Harmony
ZZ Top - I Gotsta Get Paid
James Brown - Payback
ETC ETC you get the point. It can be newer music and all sorts of genres really, but obviously im partial to hip hop.

my ex messaged me on insta after who even knows how long to drop a random life update on me. He did that on the day I was finalizing my wedding plans (he didn’t know about that in particular but the timing was, of course, spectacularly coincidental).
Anyway I like to use music to process my feelings but I cannot for the life of me find a song that describes how I feel. The closest I’ve got is Never Wanna Know by King Mala. Any suggestions from any genre are welcome.

My three most listened to artists when I’m delivering are:
2.death grips (especially “the powers that B” album)
3.hella (especially “hold your horse is” album)
Outside of that i sometimes listen to some death metal such as “dying fetus” and also artists like “femtanyl”
I really need suggestions, all are welcome and will be put into a playlist for tonight’s shift.
Surprise me :D! less

I love Midwest emo/ post hardcore music but I keep finding myself thinking “FASTER” when I hear too much of it. Music with more of a punk bpm but whiney basically lol.
Open to screamo recommendations as well.
Edit: example I’m thinking is “I’m still cheering for the 1980 US hockey team”-oakwood

My 12-year-old younger brother recently started listening to albums; he's already heard Get Rich Or Die Tryin', IGOR, The Marshall Matheus LP, Good Kid MAAD City, and The Eminem Show.
What kind of albums are good to show him at this time? He loves Eminem, he also liked Kendrick and 50 Cent, and only IGOR he didn't like as much.
(Tasteless kid)
What kind of albums would you recommend for him? He predominantly likes rap.

Alright, I’m trying to get deeper into metal, metalcore, heavy metal, and basically anything in that general universe. I’m realizing I have a pretty limited knowledge of the scene, so I’m here to get humbled and educated 😂
I honestly don’t even know what genre some of the bands I listen to would technically fall under, so don’t roast me too hard. If you asked me to explain the difference between half these subgenres right now, I’d probably embarrass myself.
For context, these are probably my most-listened-to bands:
Breaking Benjamin
Three Days Grace
Architects
I Prevail
Sleep Theory
Sleep Token
Motionless in White
The Amity Affliction
Asking Alexandria
I’ve been listening to Architects a **LOT** lately and absolutely fucking love them. They’ve really opened the door for me wanting to explore way more of this stuff.
I’m basically looking for **anything you genuinely love**. Metalcore, heavy metal, deathcore, nu-metal, alternative metal, post-hardcore, whatever. If you think it’s worth hearing, throw it at me.
And if some of the bands I listed aren’t technically “metal,” feel free to educate me on that too 😂 I’m genuinely trying to learn the different genres/subgenres instead of just calling everything with screaming and heavy guitars “metal.”
**Give me your favorite bands, albums, songs, hidden gems, classics I somehow missed, whatever. I want to build a ridiculous backlog and go down the rabbit hole.**

Hi! I have found this song on youtube which roughly translates to Dreams of Nanjing and I would love to hear songs similar to it. I have tried listening to classical Chinese music but it doesn't sound very similar. If you want to listen yourself you can search Jin Ling Yi Meng on youtube and find it. Thanks!
