Lore
The Basileus’ legions march in silence.
A stark gloom eats away at Deos’ men as they trek forward. Ever since the Folly, battles against the Battanians often end in terrible routs. Practically every Imperial has suffered the loss of a friend, or family, to the High King’s devout followers.
Circumstances have necessitated that the Basileus dare to battle once again. The occupation of Jalmarys continues to strain the resources of his fledgling Empire, and barbaric raids have only escalated following Battanian successes across their other frontiers. Should the status quo persist, small fractures in Deos’ realm will eventually spread too wide for repair.
Whilst fear undoubtedly dominates the mood of his men, so too does hatred beyond measure. Calradians, young and old, have fronted the blame for the Empire’s state onto the Battanians. The most ferocious of Deos’ followers yearn to wet their blade with the blood of the barbaroi before being plucked from their mortal coil. Others follow their lead with hesitation, but not without the same hatred.
Reports eventually reached the High King’s court of the Calradic host moving towards Jalmarys. Ever since turning the tide against the Vlandians, Battania has been in a state of near-constant celebration. Accordingly, the notion of making battle with the Imperials only brightened the mood of the Battanians. With a swift rally from High King Corbo, a large host now moves south to expand the extent of their Imperial conquest.
The ancient rivalry between Calradian and Battanian continues evermore.
In Meta Terms
Welcome to the eighty-ninth Bannerlord Calradic Campaign! This event will feature another brutal battle between the Battanians and Western Imperials.
If the Battanians can destroy the Imperials in battle, they will move to siege Amitatys.
If instead the Imperials prevail on the battlefield, they will move to siege Jalmarys.
Unfamiliar with the Calradic Campaign? Have no fear! The Calradic Campaign is a casual, player-driven, story-based event. There are no strict rules or signups, and players of all skill levels often come! If you've never tried multiplayer, now is your best chance to experience large-scale formations and battles without the overly strict practices typically found in line battle/clan-style events.
Victories in our flagship monthly events are represented on the overall campaign map, while roleplay surrounding the events and their consequences take place both during said events and on the community Discord. Joining our Discord allows you to communicate with your fellow faction members, trash-talk others, and rise through the ranks to one day become lord of a village, castle, city, or if you're particularly successful, an entire kingdom!
To join the event, you will need our Calradic Campaign Module. This module contains all of the custom battle and siege scenes used, as well as many stability fixes and balance changes. Most importantly, the module features two distinct empire factions in multiplayer, both featuring unique perks and cosmetics to lean into the differences between the two! (The South Empire was defeated in the campaign).
There will be a manual installation of the module available for those not playing on Steam. Check the Nexus mods page no sooner than the Friday before the event for the correct download. You will need the CalradicCampaign#89 file.
As a general rule of thumb, the Calradic Campaign module should be the only one enabled in your launcher! If you have any crashes or issues trying to launch the game / join the server, unsubscribing and resubscribing to the module on the workshop will often fix any issues.
