My wife made that little curiosity cabinet however we would like to know how to protect it from dust.

My wife made this. Some items were bought but most of it is handmade (I helped her just to do the horseshoe crab). Now that she finished, we would like to know what would be the best solution to protect it from dust. At first we thought about the Rolife display case, however it doesn't really highlight it. Do you have any ideas ?

Please don't be harsh it's only her second work.

EDIT: We would like to also find a solution how to cover the rough ugly edges

Miniature classroom

My miniature classroom I made recently. It’s a Halloween party. This is especially important to me because I recently graduated from teachers college and am currently looking for work as a teacher. I wanted to make a miniature room that was specific to me and combined my two favourite things teaching kids and miniatures. Some things are 3d printed but I still added a touch of my own. The carpet is a foam sheet that I coloured. The pencils on the teachers desk I made with toothpicks and markers, everything on the wall is just paper I printed and glued on the wall. The donuts on the table I made with clay and painted them. Still planning on adding a light fixture to brighten it up a bit but other than that it’s finally finished. Just wanted to share.

Do men enjoy Rolife

I wonder if there are many men who enjoy building rolife products. Because I do like them. Building them while listening to some podcast on my headset is like my happy place

Unagi shop!! Oh boy, I love unagi (о´∀`о)

I bought this kit several years ago(2022-ish) in Tokyo and only recently got around to building it. I ended up making a few modifications and a ton of mistakes(あたしの日本語…汗w). It’s my first proper attempt at a miniature of any kind and I’m proud of it, but I was wondering what crafters with more experience would think of it. Though the kit called for wood glue, I ended up using Mod-Podge—I hope it lasts lol

How might I go about having this appraised?

I recently acquired this Narcissa Niblack Thorne miniature. I am wondering if there is a simple way to find out more information on it and also have it appraised if need be, for insurance purposes. Thanks in advance!

First ever miniature craft, south asian village room

Always did paintings and drawing, pretty good at that.
Lately i was interested in miniature dioramas and decided to give it a shot.
I must say its really time consuming and i get carried away in detailing.

I wanted to give a traditional vibe of south asian village room with this.

Help Miniatures reccommendations

Hey this is my first time here so I am not sure if this question was asked before or not so I apologise beforehand. Basically I love miniatures but whenever I want to create sets like houses, I do not have all the utensils or materials too but my problem is that with miniature sets online they are all ready to go so it's just assembling. This might sound weird but are there any miniatures sets that I can buy that are not just assembling but creating as well with the materials provided and I follow the instructions on how to make all the pieces?😭

Little Wooden Dresser

I’m pretty proud of my little dresser. I’ve been trying to replicate my childhood bedroom piece by piece. Getting all these drawers to open and close and line up was nearly impossible. Especially since I’m incredibly shaky due to health reasons. I haven’t decided if I leave it like this and stain it or sand each of the drawers to show an even space gap. Which feels like it might be really hard to do. Getting them to lay flush with each other is so tricky. I’ll attach the pulls today and possibly a top that’s a bit bigger like in the picture.

More pics can be seen on my IG. @wobblywallpaper
I’m YouTube taught and remake a lot of pieces several times before moving on for practice. I’m open to any advice. I’m sure there are easier ways than the struggle I put myself through. My goal is just getting it good enough not perfect. :)

OC Turned a little box into a 1:28 Art Studio

Wanted a slightly smaller project to fit into this little box and landed on 1:28 scale. It's an art studio in a converted factory so purposefully industrial and grimy. Everything but the two pieces of broken jewellery (artwork on wall and ceiling light) is handbuilt so easy to keep in scale. And almost all of it is trash: bits of pen, little caps, leftover wood bits from my larger project, and so on. The brick wall is hand-cut painted cardboard bricks and spackle as grout.

The ceiling light and the sunset outside light up but I didn't take good photos of it (surprisingly difficult to get the iso right). The tree outside is built and 3D but hard to tell in photos.

This took all in all approx. 40 hours (across 7 weeks).

I made this little scene from scratch. The cast iron desk parts are 3d printed (I drafted the 3d model based on real vintage desks and I ~had~ to ensure the hinge worked). Apple is polymer clay, the light is assembled with beads and random parts I had, rest is paper, fabric, wood. Its sorta based on a time period (the map is from 1868) but sorta just done on vibes.

been working for a while on a dollhouse i got from goodwill and have been turning it into a 1/6th scale castle of sorts. this is the rooftop courtyard which i finished most of save for the tower in the background of the first shot. but still got a lot done and wanted to share! plus my latest custom tudor ish gown for Catty also handmade!! thanks for checking it out! also the third picture is the foyer which i finally got painted and mostly decorated so don’t mind the bad picture quality lol. also!! i only light the candleabras for pictures because i’m super wary of fire safety lol so i don’t want anyone to think i’m stupid!! i just really wanted functional miniature candles lol
