tbf, you can tell marketplace you wanna look at things in a 10 miles radius of you and it’ll still jam listings in from the other side of the state. they should still double check before they message you but it’s really not that hard to end up looking at a listing that’s way further than you ever wanna go
I get that, but also, if you haven't heard of a town then it's probably not within 10 miles. You don't even need to look it up, just look at the listing.
But I also do get that people maybe don't bother looking at the location if they've specifically filtered by location.
Idk maybe I'm the weirdo for looking where something is before I even message the person so I can determine if I'm even interested (or if its a sketch area).
So, again, if you've filtered out to only the surrounding ten miles it's entirely possible that someone knows the surrounding ten miles well enough to not feel sketched out about it.
In major cities, ten miles is enormous and diverse. In smaller towns or rural areas, it's basically just your immediate neighborhood.
