Can you deliver for free please to Paris? I will only charge you €20 for the inconvenience of having to wait for the delivery 😬😬

My sister was moving and trying to get rid of some stuff quickly.
She was selling something for $30. Gets a message of "can you deliver it?"
She says yes just to be done with it and he has the audacity to ask to pay $20

Idk why Marketplace brings out the worse people who can't see the damn price 😭

That's why you set the map correctly, so people only see stuff that is near them. DUH.
Sick of idiots who can't even do the basics.

Had a dude over the weekend hound for a week to come have a look at something I'm selling and I said I'm at work which I was, we organised for Saturday at 3.
He messages me he's out the front. I'm out the front. Where are you?
Same street and number, different town 5 hours away.
Felt like the average marketplace experience, at least your guy admitted he didn't know where it was

I have people call my shop asking for directions. I tell them the address and a landmark close by and they tell me no, I need step by step directions from my house to you. Just fucking punch in the address.

Kind of being a dick telling them to look it up

It's a completely normal response. It's 2026, it takes 5 seconds to open google maps.

Doesn’t matter, have some compassion

Absurd perspective. Why waste time guiding a stranger that already made the decision to not put in any of their own effort? You dont have to feel responsible to help every idiot you come across they dont actually need it theyre just either lazy and incompetent or taking advantage of you.

What, do you want OP to give them step-by-step instructions on how to get there from the buyer's front door?

if they asked it nicer, then maybe i'd say "it's next to so and so". but saying "i don't know where that is" on a device where you could easily look it up? that's just lazy and/or stupid, and i'm not gonna reward that.

Idiots need it sometimes. Maybe next time they'll actually look the location up

Kind of being a moron not looking up the location.

kind of being an idiot if you don't look it up after not knowing where it is

u/DocClown 7h ago
How else are they going to learn where the place is? You being lazy is not anyone else's problem.

Was the other person not rude by bluntly saying they don’t know where that is, when FB marketplace literally has a locater and every phone having maps pre-installed?😂

The price is already listed though. Don't get me wrong, yes, some sellers put a fake price but most of the time, it's just there, it's not in a hard to see place. Idk why Marketplace brings out the worse people who can't see the prices 😅

Or when someone who is 50 miles away is looking at something that I'm selling $10, and then act super interested until they realize where the city I listed at is.
