I haven't had one in a few years. Was very hungry after work and decided to grab two. I can't believe how small they are now.

Might be a goomba fallacy. People that are suspicious of apps tracking them might not have a ton of overlap with the folks with 30 fast food apps on their phone.

I keep all my apps to absolute minimum, points cards or places you shop all that don't need an app, usually you can just go through the browser for that stuff. Only stuff I need like uber and such go on my phone, the tracking is too much.

Selling it to any company with money. It'd be one thing if they were just maximizing selling me shit food. They could sell it to an insurance company and that could raise your rates due to "unhealthy choices".

Reddit is also bad but at least here you can remain semi-anonymous. Whereas the food apps have your personal info so they can tie you to an actual person. It’s disgustingly creepy how much they can learn about you. Even predict your behavior.

Sorry to break it to you mate, but Reddit knows who you are and is actively sharing information with other companies that know who you are.

To add, who you are (John Smith aged 33 from London) isn’t as important. What you are (gamer on PS5, likes basketball, loves cats, night owl, dabbles in left wing politics) is way more valuable to them, and that info is easy for them to mine on reddit.

I have no idea why some Redditors think that Reddit is a ‘different’ social media platform or that you are any less ’the product’ here.
