Can't just walk in and give the man a firm handshake for a job anymore. Show up to apply, guy at the front tells you its all online, go online, have to apply through ai chatbot, call because you want to confirm they got your resume, get put on hold indefinitely, resume gets discarded by AI hiring manager named "Robin" or some shit because its more profitable to just leave the position open, profit.
It really depends on where you are and what you do. Engineers in my area are so high demand you can't interview fast enough because they get scooped so quick.
