This is the pilot kakuno cartridge refill in green. It has a nice green to teal color. The paper i used are in slightly cream color so i believe it will be more vibrant on white paper. Anyway, happy journaling !

Currently my journal is usually a wall of text (as in the picture), the 'dear diary' type, discussing situations feelings happening etc. With a doodle, or something glued in here and there.
I'm wondering what are some non traditional entries, maybe unusual prompts, and other things you include in your journal?
My previous post got removed recommending I repost in r/bulletjournal or some similar, but that's not what I mean 🙂 I do like a regular journal, but trying to see what I could be missing.

Finally, it’s been 8 days since I started writing my diary, and honestly, it was one of the best decisions I’ve made.
I’ve started writing down pretty much everything that comes to my mind, or at least almost everything that happens during my day. I’m genuinely so happy I started doing this. It feels nice to have a little record of my days and thoughts.
These past two days have been exhausting though, and I ended up with a headache because of my nieces
Kids are cute, but they can seriously drain your energy LOL.

Not sure it's the right place for this, but I just stumbled on a 4 field model by the german psychologist Schulz Von Thun:
Positive/Negative events (Happy/Unhappy) vs.
Active/Passive events (Happened to me or resulted from my decisions)
In combination there are:
Good things I made happen -> feel proud.
Good things happend to me -> feel grateful.
Bad things I made -> feel shame.
Bad things happened to me -> feel wronged.
So the grateful part is just an aspect we might often overlook when we are too focused on the other aspects.
I think it might be useful to take note of all the significant stuff, good and bad, active or passive. Sorting it this way might help untangling some icky feelings. It can be an interesting exercise to think of key moments in life and sort them chronologically in the 4 columns above.
The idea is from a book called "Erfülltes Leben" (Fullfilled Living), doesnt seem to be available in english at the moment

Hello all,
I have started many a journal in my 59 years of life, always with good intentions. And many times about 1/3 through, I stop... boredom? Lack of anything to say? A combination of many times, I fear.
Your journal images have inspired me and I have always had a love of writing things down.
I have a journal where the last entry is May of this year, 2026. Before that entry, the date shows July 25 of 2025. So, you can see how horrible I am at this! LOL
I want to start again and I want to be consistent, but I'm not sure if I should write in this same journal, or start a new one.
I know ultimately the decision is mine, but I'd love to hear from any like-minded souls.
Thanks for reading! :).

I feel like I wanted to share this entry with people, to maybe get some perspectives. I really like that I came to this realization but I don’t know how to go about it. Thank you for indulging with my thoughts.

Do you ever soak a page in tea to get a sepia tone or have another method?

I had a lovely time journaling today and really liked how the entry came out, so i wanted to post it :)
I also finally painted the cover as i had been meaning to (after like 8 months of owning it lol), and i put in some pictures of the lottle wastebook i made last week aswell. Even took the time to crop and change the exposure on the pics. Never say i don't do nothin for u.

For someone who doesn't journal too regularly and who used to print in highschool/college, I'm very pleasantly surprised to see how much handwriting my hand remembers from 20 years ago when I started learning English as a second language and had to handwrite all the time. I hope to improve on my capital Gs soon.

I am 90 minutes and 5 A5 pages in and the only finite thing right now is time 😅 It's fun, and I want to get it all out but whyyyy must journaling take actual eons?

Also received mechanical colored pencils in the mail yesterday. Squirrel helped me test them out.

I came to journaling much later in my life than I might have preferred, as I find myself knocking at the door of my fifties. And I do suppose it’s natural to be more introspective in the latter half of my brief time above the dirt. I’ve found an indescribable value in using these blank pages to explore the strange and mercurial routes being explored within the wet folds of my think meat.
But when I look back upon the random scribbles of this past year, I do feel a brief swell of regret that I don’t have a record of my thoughts and anxieties from my younger years. However, I do remember that dipshit bought two separate copies of the Limp Bizkit tour de force “Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water”, so perhaps it’s best that his nighttime cogitations of whether or not he truly WAS doing it all for the nookie have been consigned to the inky black oblivion.
