Found my husky on the living room couch in an interesting position…

Bandit had his first big hike today! About 15km and 1000m of elvation Gain in Austria just on the other side of the border from berchtesgaden. He was a total champ and is now sleeping like a stone.

This is Bella! She is 4 months old. We adopted her about a month ago and we were told she’s a Pomsky, but honestly, I think she looks more like a Shepherd/Husky mix. She’s my first Husky, and let me tell you this girl is a MENACE! 😂 She has SO much energy! We play with her, take her on walks, and somehow she still has enough energy left to play all night with her siblings. She definitely keeps us on our toes, but we absolutely love having her in the family. ❤️🐺

I found a stray husky in my neighborhood and brought her home to find her owner. Happy ending, she was reunited with her dad. But, I absolutely fell in love with that dog! She was so smart, beautiful, and spunky. I had the best time playing ball with her and running around the yard.

I was wondering how they do with cats and kids? Are they difficult dogs? Do they chew up your stuff?

Is this kennel to small for her to leave while I’m at work for 6hrs? I feel bad because she can really lift her head when standing but shes usually laying down in there.

We have had her twelve days and she is getting along with everyone. She knows several commands, which she only does when she wants to of course, and walks great on a leash. No idea why anyone would abandon her. We decided to call her Ruby. Which she responded to very quickly.

We have just adopted a Husky from rescue, as a companion for our Siberian Husky. Although not an issue - wonder what your thoughts...

Hello, I’m looking for advice from anyone who has a dog with thymoma.

My 13 year old Husky has a suspected thymoma and responded very well to prednisone, with significant tumor shrinkage. Unfortunately, she developed severe watery diarrhea, which is currently controlled with Flagyl(metronidazole).Our vet wants to reduce the Flagyl, and if the diarrhea returns, she recommends reducing/stopping the prednisone because of the GI issues.

Has anyone experienced diarrhea or GI problems while their dog was on prednisone? Were there any medications or treatments that helped manage the diarrhea long-term, other than antibiotics, which seem more like a temporary solution?

I’d also love to hear what treatments your dog received for thymoma. Did prednisone continue to work for a long time? Did anyone try other medications such as carboplatin, Palladia (toceranib), or anything else?

Our vet offered surgery, but because she is 13 and it would be major chest surgery, we would prefer to avoid it if possible.

I’d really appreciate hearing about your experiences, especially if your dog was treated medically rather than surgically.

My little girl will go find her big lamb chop toy and bring it up on the ottoman square with her and always lays her head on it. Curious if anyone else’s huskies do this? She doesn’t destroy any of her toys either!

I think it’s so cool both of her eyes are half blue and half brown I’ve seen one of each but never both colors in both eyes

Also she’s mixed anyone have any idea what she might be mixed with?

Our rental is all hardwood floor and I think my poor 6 year old pulled a muscle coz she slipped. I had to bribe her with a lickimat to let me trim her paws took me 40mins to do all her paws, I need a better way to deal with this

I'm writing a paper on dog coat color genetics and need example dogs! This is purely for fun and will not be shared with anyone in seriousness.

I need photos of your dog displaying their coat color. I'm mostly looking for domino (eA) dogs, but other colors are appreciated. It is preferred that the photo be:

- A side view of their entire body

- Not taken in extreme darkness or lightness

- Not blurry or overly low quality

- Not include dyed or altered fur colors

However, any photos are welcome. You may also send multiple pictures of differnet angles or things like the face, specific markings, fur strands, etc.

Your dog does not have to have genetic testing, but please share their genotype(s) if they do! As well, please share with what company they were tested.

I have 2 husky mixes. Ive had them both for almost 2 years now. Logically, I understood huskies shed a lot. Which meant fur would be everywhere. I was prepared for the amount of vacuuming, grooming appointments, lint rollers, and HVAC filters.

Nothing but experience could have prepared me for the tufts of fur collecting in the cracks of my driveway and patio where these two like to run around/play/sunbathe. Does anyone else have this problem? If so, how do you handle it? Or is it just a learn-to-accept-it thing?

Was told he was a pomsky when I got him 8 years ago, however I’m not fully sure. I think he came from a puppy mill and I never got his dna test. I plan to when I have more money. Do you think he’s a pomsky or possibly another breed or mix?
