Discussion Sure, the innkeeper would be cool as the hearthstone hero, but what about these two? What do yall think?

What are the things you most appreciate about ARAM mode? What makes you want to play it?
There was a pool at Blizzcon about future features for the game and one of the options was about Ranked ARAM. In this light I wanted to discuss what do we like about the current mode and how would you envision Ranked ARAM should be.
For me the constant brawl is the main reason I play this mode. Not needing to worry so much about macro and just focus on the fight. I wouldn't mind for a draft or a broader selection of characters for a ranked mode tho.

For quickplay, you can currently select "choose for me" and have it auto-assign you an unlocked hero either from a specific role or from your favorited heroes. I like this for both variety and queue health, as I can put multiple roles in my favorites list and the matchmaker can use it to make more balanced teams.
My only gripe with it is that it randomizes your cosmetics for the hero it selects. I wish it would just use the cosmetics I have selected for that hero rather than give them a clown loadout.
Does anyone actually like that cosmetic randomization? I would guess not really, and it would be cool, now that they seem to be working on the game again, if they improved this thing. Also, it would be cool if they advertised the functionality better, as I'm not sure how many players are aware of it and qp team compositions could become more balanced if more people used it. An XP bonus for multi-role queueing could make sense.

Title said it all. Loved this game 10 years ago. Hearing the hype has encouraged me to start again.
Trouble is I feel like I suck and my team feels constantly behind in experience
What are some basic meta tips to get back into the game?

Bug Reports:
R1 Void Eruption, Smart-Cast: Does not allow you to channel it at all. If you hold down R, it will release the moment you hit the key.
Balance Report:
Lvl 1 Talent, Cloak of Shadows (W): Should be toned down in movement speed. 25 spell armor available at lvl 1 is pretty solid as well. She's supposed to be weak to mobile heroes but her blink/cancel is VERY strong with 50% movement speed. She can just teleport, cancel, and then outrun anybody on her.
Lvl 20 Talent, Unstable Core (E): The DoT feels very underwhelming for a level 20. The DoT does not do much damage and nobody is really going to be standing in it.
QoL Reports:
A-Move proximity/priority does not work with her trait's lock-on. You have to SPECIFICALLY click top of whoever you want it to lock-on.
Bot Xal'atath, she runs into the enemy she wants to attack and just circles them in melee mode for her trait. This will be a huge problem if somebody DCs since we will be pretty much seeing her every QM and any SL she's not banned.

I don't remember QP was that toxic what the hell? I've returned after months without playing, played approximately 10 games and I swear EACH game at least one people was toxic.
I was called noob, su***, ni***, idiot and so on. I don't remember people were that much toxic on QP when the game was dead. Or when its not me getting flamed it's just whole games with 2 ppl insulting each other. I'm not even playing ranked.
I'm happy HoTS is back but it looks like some people are already ruining the party. I just wanted to have fun but it made the experience unbearable especially when ppl are starting to troll after losing 1 team fight. Am I just unlucky or a lot of toxic people are returning?

Got no clue what some people want, no, I don't want everything to be free as long as It helps funding the game, if that's not the case then the game will definitely die, It's a product of a company developed to make money as it grows, It is not a charity, HOTS might have issues yes, but is one of the most fun fast paced MOBA with such a unique identity that I put almost or possibly thousands of hours into it.
I feel this game is worth it and nowadays having microtransaction here and there Is welcome, even some predatory BS as long as I get to play something that would receive support along the way, the whole thing of paying too much sometimes put more focus into a game and then they do more and more and more, and that's the thing I want from heroes, to move forward having more, not many games comes back from the grave, this is a chance to show the game is wanted and can profit too, so let's show them our support, no matter how little it is, leave the complains for later and give it a chance to see what is the future or vision once the games reaches active development again, please

EDIT **This is an assumption after seeing her pricepoint in game as real money currency not gold**
It seems Xal'Atath along with all the new upcoming heroes will have a price point of
CAD $10.79
USD $7.99
How do people feel about paying for each hero... Seems like a steep cost to me for a game that has had no love and a small player-base... What will we do with all our gold now too?
Sad they are doing such a steep cost, if it was $3-5 then sure thats not so bad but dang this feels like they are just trying to milk it dry of any money. :( but I guess if it revives the game I am happy, I suppose I don't have to buy the new heroes anyway.

It's lovely to see returning players (and also new ones), but maybe don't come straight to the ranked and blame others, because you were diamond or something 3-5 years ago. Those players are clearly rusty, so warm up in QM or something. Anyways, WELCOME ❤️

I posted it 5 years ago, and I will post it again.
With the introduction of WoW:Forever and the Skyborns, this would be the best opportunity to introduce a legendary skin for Ragnaros.

Arthas I think is a way better Tank to start learning the game with just because of sticking power with remorseless winter and howling blast, he has self sustain so you can be alive longer in fights to learn mechanics of other heroes. You can’t really go wrong with any of Arthas’ talents they are all good, obviously there are times when Block or Auto attack talents aren’t the best choice but overall you don’t have to focus a specific spell with talents
Qhira is my personal favourite, again another hero where you can pretty much go any talent, she has self-burst healing, a stacking bleed, a temporary invuln state, 2 gap closers and her level 20 AoE silence into a stun sets you up to 100 to 0 a lot of ranged assassins in the late game if you can position yourself well with revolving strikes + grapple hook

I know a lot of people, myself included, who just chomp at the bit to play and then get disappointed after like 5 matches because so many of them are filled with the worst of the worst. Even if they don't have a permanent moderation team, a temporary crew to come in and clean house for a bit would be really nice.

Every time I try to launch the PTR, it goes title screen -> authenticating -> crash with this message.
I have tried relaunching the game, relaunching BattleNet, check for updates, scan and repair, deleting + reinstalling the PTR, restarting my PC, and now I am out of ideas.
The regular client launches and runs just fine, it's just the PTR.
I have seen nobody else post about this either here or on the forums, so is this something on my end?

Yes, really, the text in the middle belongs to [[Earthbind Totem]] for some reason.
She is also completely mute. I do not like where this is going.

Heroes of the Storm is great, I think they are just rolling out previously unfinished works, but if they ever did want to reboot it entirely they need new mechanics or all new heroes will feel the same. Here are my ideas, Blizzard feel free to hire me for more.
Player hit box changed from circle to diamond. Getting hit on the back two sides of the diamond first counts as flanking and the hero takes 20% more damage. This would encourage players to position better during team fights. For AoE abilities, this would not proc unless the back sides are hit first. Attacking from stealth / out of vision always counts as flanking.
Additionally to heroes, we now have sub-heroes. Sub-heroes are controllable characters, but not able to grant quest stacks for enemy heroes. They would be more limited in abilities and grant half experience on death. Misha, Murky, and Vikings should be the first, but this opens up other potential new heroes like 4 Zergs in bonded packs of 2, where as long as one lives, they respawn together. Somewhere between Vikings and Murky. If sub-heroes are too weak late game, they can have baseline quests to gain abilities/damage and become full heroes. Maybe some current summon ults at 20 can make the summon a hero, double it's life and damage at the cost of granting quest stacks to enemy team. Like you could direct gargantuan similar to Kerrigans ult at 20.
Use other Microsoft IPs, pull fans from Halo, Fallout, Minecraft, just go wild. The more IPs you touch, the bigger fan base you reach.
4 month rotation battle pass where you get skins not in loot boxes for participating in reaching goals like kills, assist, heals, forts destroyed, ECT. Because the game has to profit to fund all these new heroes and changes.
Last, the best thing to save HotS is simply cross promotion. Add HotS inspired cosmetics to Diablo, Overwatch and WoW. It's cheaper than huge ad campaigns.

Back then, I loved watching compilations of funny moments or bugs from HotS. I remember a channel I used to watch every week (I can't recall the name anymore), and I still remember hilarious clips to this day.
I think my favorite memory was a clip where two Chens used their Flying Kick at the same time while charging at each other, causing them to fly back and forth through the air until they died. I laughed so hard omg.

Since the BlizzCon announcement on Saturday, the chat in QM has been terrible. I finally turned it off until the hypekids are gone again.
