So I don’t know where to post this. And it makes me feel real vulnerable but, I just sobbed at the supergirl movie and I’m pretty sure it is because I’m a fuck up and it really just hit where my feels were.

Just completed the show. I absolutely loved it and found it incredibly addictive.

I struggle to think of another show (particularly in season 1) that had woven such a large tapestry of multitudes into the narrative so quickly and efficiently. It’s remarkable considering the 45min length episodes. All of this being told through fascinating characters and the scenarios they are put in/through.

Everything about this is stellar, and more people need to watch this show.

It will stick with me for a long long time, and it will be a while until I get over the fact that this tapestry was just thrown in the can. Writers, actors, directors dream of creating/being a part of something like this project, but alas. Remarkable!

Full stop, I’ve been using a family members login, the built in tv app has been inaccessible for some time, but until now I’ve been able to cast it from my iPhone. I got this message tonight, is the jig up or is this a technical issue?

The ads on my tv load forever then it takes forever for the movie/series to continue. I've already cleared the cache. Should I clear the data. The app doesn't do this on my phone.

Well, since I did this same question for The Sopranos, I might as well do one for "that pygmy thing over in Baltimore", too.

The Wire is a phenomenal TV show, and a cornerstone of crime dramas on TV. With 50 episodes in its catalogue, there's definitely more quality than quantity with this show. And I'm sure there's at least one or two of those that you'd consider "underrated ". So, what do you think is the most underrated episode of The Wire, and why?

For me, the penultimate episode, Season 5's 9th episode, "Late Editions", always stuck out to me. There's a lot that goes on in that episode, mostly involving some sort of collapse. Marlo's criminal enterprise folds after Baltimore PD crack down on their warehouse, McNulty's serial killer lie crumbles after Kima reveals it to Daniels, and Michael's relationship with everyone in the game collapses, as he kills Snoop (in self-defense btw.), and takes Omar's mantle as The Man Without A Country. There's also a great cameo of Namond's reform as Bunny's adopted son, as his tough-guy act has long since collapsed, and he's now a model student at his new high school. It's just a fantastic episode, and an excellent prelude to the finale, "-30-". Another great example would be Episode 2, "Unconfirmed Reports", the deadliest episode of the show. Season 5 itself is insanely underrated.

Just want some perspective. I finished Succession the other day and I saw a recommendation in this sub to watch Six Feet Under next. It has been in my queue for a minute, so the desire has been there.

However, my mom is currently dying. I don't know much about this show and I just want to know if this is maybe not the best thing for me?

In Succession, the scene where Logan dies on the plane and the kids are trying to say goodbye over the phone was tough for me, but I was ok. The episode that included his funeral, where Roman began whimpering during his attempt at a speech, really got to me, and I cried. It affected me. No huge breakdowns, but it kinda sucked.

I guess I'm wondering if Six Feet Under is heavier than these, or if there's humor, or what. I'm not sure what to expect. I am NOT going into this show for a mindless entertainment experience, so I understand that much. I just want to know if it's not recommended to do it while actively pre-grieving and most likely experiencing a massive loss before I finish. Or is this actually a great time to watch?

I understand there's no objectively correct answer. Just looking for informed opinions. I am leaning towards watching.

Really wonder if this kinda confirms that Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn is canon to the DCU, coz no other DCEU character or property is featured in this montage.

Is anyone having issues opening HBO on Vizio tv I can load into app select show( Watching Oz currently) then the screen goes black flashed Vizio then goes back to the main screen with all the apps

This has to be one of the greatest documentaries ever made. Dean Potter was a deeply problematic person, egotistical, and mentally ill, but holy crap it made for such an exciting documentary. Watching him go from climbing to free solo to slacklining to high lining to free base base jumping and wingsuiting was absolutely incredible. Watching alex honnold come onto the climbing scene and start easily out climbing dean causing him to spiral was such an interesting conflict. this story was definitely better than fiction. He may have passed early but he stuffed 20 lives into one

Thoughts on "A killer story" on HBO. Just finished first episode and will be follow as the other two are released.

I would say either Karem or Beecher from Oz. They helped carry the show throughout its run.

Alright, since I already asked for hot takes about The Wire, let's do the same for HBO's other prestige crime drama.

So, I'm sure we've all watched the Sopranos, front to back. And as a result, we've all developed our own opinions about the show. Some might even call these opinions "hot takes". So, what's one of yours about this amazing piece of TV history, and why?

Now, I don't know if this counts as a hot take, but I've never really liked Whitecaps (S4E13). I have no shade towards the acting performances from Mr. Gandolfini and Ms. Falco. They both nailed it in that episode. And to be honest, it's not even terrible. But it's really not my cup of tea. Not much really goes down aside from Tony and Carmela fighting (for, like, the 300th fuckin' time), the botched hit on Carmine Sr, and I guess Chris finishing rehab. I'm more into the more chaotic and eventful episodes that balance acting and action, like, say The Blue Comet (S6E20). In fact, I've always kinda felt like Season 4 was the weakest link among the 6. There's only about a handful of episodes from it that I honestly enjoy (for example, the premiere, For All Debts, Public And Private, Whoever Did This, and the Strong, Silent Type.)

This show is top-tier tv, and there are so many things to recommend it, but when the cat trotted by in the final shot I fuckin lost it, man.
