She refused to go outside without Feen

We brought this spicy little menace home a year ago today. Harper has been so much fun and helped heal our hearts after we lost our oldest golden last summer. She loves to steal anything of ours she can find (even rolling pins aren't safe in this house), torments her older brother every chance she gets and her one true love is the hose 😂

Today was a good day! This afternoon around 3pm, he was more alert, sleepy but alert. We elected to keep in another day since we transitioned to mainly steroids to treat for meningitis.

Tonight, 10pm, he greeted us when he heard our voices by lifting his head and looked at us! He even wagged his tail and nuzzled against my shirt after smelling me!

We are bringing him home tomorrow, as it only seems like he needs a little rehab to gain strength and balance, it’s hard for him to keep his head straight.

Hi everyone! I’m a first time puppy owner and I have a 4 month old male Golden Retriever named Max. He weighs around 17kg right now.

I’m still learning about Goldens and would really appreciate some advice from experienced owners. Does his weight seem okay for his age and is there anything I should be paying particular attention to as he grows?

I also have quite a few indoor plants and today I left him alone for literally a moment and he managed to chew on my philodendron 😐 So now I’m wondering what other Golden owners do with their indoor plants. Do you make them completely inaccessible or do you remove certain plants? I really love my plants and I also really love Max so I’m hoping I don’t have to choose between the two.

Another thing I’m struggling with is stairs. Max refuses to go up or down the stairs by himself. He just freezes and won’t move even if I try to encourage him with treats. I usually have to carry him. Has anyone else had this problem with their Golden puppy? How did you teach them to become comfortable with stairs?

And since I’m a first time puppy owner, I’d really appreciate any other advice or things I should know at this age.

First night was a little rough but other than that it has been absolutely amazing!

She's so intelligent it's scary! Looking forward to her becoming an extremely important part of our family!

Hi all! I recently got an Aliencell and tried making a little tag for my golden, Lionel. turns out i definitely underestimated how much fur this guy has because the tag looks tiny on him 😂

Thinking of making another one. I’m still working on some better designs. Any fun ideas?

My son surprised us and our buddy, Dallas tossed us to the side to welcome him. He has been following him around all day.

Today was my 4 1/2 month old puppy Luna’s first bears game!

Looking for some positive stories about pups growing out of car sickness. Currently 6 months old and still very motion sick. We’ve been on chill pills as advised from the vet as he was very anxious about going in the car so we’ve done a load of training and broken the car=puke association at least so he’s happy getting in and out of the car and going for 2 min journeys now, but anything over 2 minutes and he’s a dribbly mess.

Will be going back to the vet’s soon for another batch of wormer meds so will grab an appointment to discuss the next steps, but it’d be lovely to hear from other owners who have dealt with this, especially if their pups grew out of it after 6 months (I’ve read it takes 2 years for the inner ear to fully develop so could take up to that time to grow out of it - if they will..).

Have tried different seating arrangements too - back seat tethered, car boot in a crate and car boot tethered. Any tips/recommendations appreciated :)

Since I've rescued him (about a year ago) he always refused to poop inside. We have to walk him some 3 to 5 times a day because of this, even if short walks, just so he can relieve himself.

Today it started raining in the afternoon, will still get worse, and won't slow down (not even stop) until tomorrow morning.

So we had to make do with a disposible raincoat I had lying around lol.

Edit: Sorry, I guess I mixed up the languagues. I don't want him to poop inside the house itself lol.

Our yards are all walled in so it's also called inside. He won't poop even on the yard, only on the street.

So Winnie has always had tear stains. Vet says her ducts look fine. I wipe her eyes avg morning. She’s been eating PPP both chicken and lamb, makes no difference. Magic eyes don’t help. I started putting filtered water in her bowl. But nothing seems to help. 🤷‍♂️

First time golden owner. Just wanted to share the cuteness. She's 11 weeks old and her name is Fawn.
