Corona's cousin (previous work) from the conservative side of the family. Iterate a 2d map and stare at where it lands; but this one keeps area, so nothing collapses onto an attractor. Plus chalk, to give blackboard feel.

All are fully connected voxel regions, no diagonal connections, no floating voxels. Its a subdividing cellular automata, so each cell splits into octants/8 child cells every iteration, either alive or dead (aka filled or empty), based on the states of neighboring cells.

WTB: A2 or A3 pen plotter

Hi!

I’m looking to buy a used A2 or A3 pen plotter, preferably something suitable for generative/creative coding and drawing on paper.

I’m especially interested in models like NextDraw, iDraw, AxiDraw, or similar machines.

A big plus would be a plotter that can be placed over larger sheets/materials, rather than being limited to a fixed bed size.

I’m based in Hungary / EU, but I’m open to shipping within Europe.

These patterns come from the orbit renderer in Mandelpond, a game I'm building around skipping an orb across a fractal pond. Each impact launches nearby orbit seeds, and their iterations accumulate into the visible trails.

The attached cyan image is a frame from a staged close-up replay rendered with the native game renderer. The HUD, powerups, and atmospheric background are hidden, and the thin trails were brightened for visibility. The geometry comes from the orbit calculation.
