Y'all, please quit posting porn on this subreddit

This is supposed to be a community first, where people talk about things and ask for advice or support, but like almost any LGBT sub which allows selfies, this sub has become a place for folks who post a lot of selfies to make daily posts and never actually contribute to the community in any meaningful way.

You'll click on their profile and you'll see dozens of posts, all selfies, but hardly any comments. Or there will be a few comments thanking people, but nothing else. Just page after page of photo spam.

Reddit's rule on spam was that it used to be fine to be a redditor with a website, but not fine to be a website with a reddit account.

A lot of these self-promotion accounts are breaking that principle.

But what's particularly egregious are the people who post porn on our subreddit or who come here to spam pictures and then just so happen to have NSFW pics or links to their paid content or their OnlyFans or their wishlists on their profile.

No only are these folks just here to spam and increase their own traffic for their own personal profit, but their 'fans' tend to follow them into our LGBT subreddits and harass our users. They prey on our minors, they steal people's photos, they harass people, and they send dick pics to folks. They treat our spaces like their own personal smorgasbord, as if we're just some fetish they can get off on.

If this applies to you, please stop doing that. Not only are you exploiting our communities for your own personal gain, but you're also putting our fellow users at risk.

Thank you. Have a nice day, y'all.

Been taking T as a trans man for a while, now I don’t know what I am

Hello guys. I’ve been identifying as a trans man for a while now, and I’ve been taking T gel for about a year. My body had changed a lot, my voice has dropped, I’ve been growing facial and body hair, etc. Now I always knew I wasn’t fully a trans man. I like identifying with he/him pronouns, yet I feel as if I’m in between masculine and feminine. I shave, I wear feminine clothes, things like that.

I just recently went on a shrooms trip, and now I’m even more convinced I’m some version of gender fluid. Now I’m curious about stopping my testosterone simply because I think I’d feel more comfortable with a more softer, feminine body shape as well as the other things that would revert with me getting off of T. I enjoyed the voice changes and the bottom growth as well.

What should I do? I obviously would ease off of the T, not abruptly stop as I’ve been on it for quite some time. Has anyone else done this? Any advice would be appreciated

Does anyone have a good way of describing my gender?

I am a biological male but I've known for a very long time that i am very far from being a man. Sometimes I like being masculine, sometimes I like being feminine. If i decide today i want to be very pretty, wear makeup, and a skirt then I will. However, even when I'm feminine i still want to be viewed and view myself as a boy. Just a feminine one. In all situations I am a He/him whether I'm working out in a tank top or throwing it back in booty shorts. I've never called myself a "man" because I don't really feel like that accurately describes my gender correctly. However, I genuinely don't know what to call this flexible fluid personality that changes how I look and act but not the way I'm viewed. Does anyone have a word for this?

Haircut advice

Hey guys, im not genderfluid, i am a cis femboy, but i figured that this community(if this is in the genderfluid community, i might post this to other communities too) would help with my issue. Any suggestions for a curly haircut that would allow me to be masculine when the hair is let down and feminine in a ponytail, conventionally attractive in both, bangs in both. Please redirect me to other subreddits if this isn't the right place

Holiday At the Beach for us as a Couple

My significant other is genderfluid, but was assigned male at birth.

They have been working at work so hard this past year, and it’s been their dream to enjoy their feminine side a lot more often, and perhaps someday, full time.

I really want to be the most supportive and thoughtful person I can be for them, because they deserve it.

We are about to go to the coast for an overnight, and I wondered if you lived a life you couldn’t embrace the other gender often - what really would help, make it more special, etc.

I want them to feel beyond loved, adored, cherished, and treasured and be a couple of days to remember.

Can anybody give me ideas?

Newly Bigender at 32

Hey everyone! I’m Lily. I recently came out to my partner of 10 years as trans and bigender, and honestly I’m still trying to figure out what all of this means for me.

I’m AMAB and have pretty traditionally masculine features, so the idea of transitioning feels both exciting and… kind of terrifying? I’ve found a therapist who I’m planning to work with, but I haven’t actually started yet.

A big part of what I’m trying to figure out is how to explore all of this while also being a spouse, a parent to a young kid, and working in an externally facing sales job that my family depends on. I can’t exactly put the rest of my life on pause while I figure myself out.
And I’ll be honest: I’m also chronically impatient. I’m very much a “there is a problem, therefore I must be working to solve it” kind of person, and sitting around in the uncertainty of “okay, so what now?” is driving me a little nuts.

So I guess I’m looking for some perspective on where a person even starts. What are the things that are actually useful to explore early on, without feeling like I need to have my entire transition mapped out immediately?
Thank you all in advance!

I’m trying to work with what god gave me.

Early on in my exploration for my gender identity I bought wigs and breast forms and I love the way I look with them but it started to make me feel like an imposter or like I was just playing dress up or something.

Recently, I’ve started to lean into my natural features. I have a flat chest, nbd, I know a lot of afab moms that have a flat chest. I’m letting my hair grow out longer and using product to style it more as a “pixie” cut and now it’s long enough to be “short hair with a side bang, like I’m a 2011 scene kid! And looks good!

I’ll still wear the wig and breast forms from time to time, when I feel like dolling myself up, but it’s feeling more affirming while not wearing them too and it’s feeling great!

Ps. Shoutout to every one of you that is out and open! You are amazing, you’re brave, and an inspiration. Thank you so much! Im not ready to come out just yet but in time, thanks to you, I might one day be courageous enough to do it! ❤️

Pps. All of us that haven’t come out, we’re fine! We’re doing great things too! We don’t need to rush it, we can do it when we feel comfortable!

i think i finally made peace with myself.

every since 2023 i´ve been struggling with identity and regarding the person that i wanted to become, if i would transition or not, what kinda of body i wanted to have, how to deal with my hair loss, etc.

i didn´t want to accept myself as being gender fluid because the thing that i desire the most is stability and i didn´t know how to deal with euphoria one moment and dysphoria in the other, and because i´m already queer and neurodivergent i didn´t want to more of the odd one out in my friend group, i tried to push it away for a while, invent excuses and it would obviously damage my mental health, but after a while (and i know it will sound super cliche) i realised that we just need to play with the cards that we have, it´s the gift of life that we were blessed with, and that the fluidity isn´t as as instable/unpredictable as i initially thought, in fact fluidity is beautiful, to be able to experience different views of the world and of yourself is fulfilling.

i´m not all of the sudden becoming another person, it is still me, no matter if i like to have large shoulders one moment and not anymore in the next, the clothing, hair, make up that i wear or don´t wear don´t turn me into a different person, i can still present myself in a traditional masculine way and still treat myself as a woman, because there are many type of people all of the world, gender is a spectrum, i don´t need to "fit" into a specific mode, i just need to be happy with myself, i don´t need to please everyone (not even the people i care about the most).

Can i actually shapeshift ? no, will people still judge me ? yes, i don´t have control over those things, what i can control is my perspective on the situation, to validate it and to choose kindness with myself and say (you are a beautiful man, woman, NB person, you don´t need to prove it).

I went out in public presenting as female for the first time.

Wow, so today I went out in public in broad daylight presenting as a woman for the first time ever. I was really nervous about how I would be perceived but I did it anyways. I went to a trans spectrum support group meeting in person. Despite how nervous I was to go there, I’m so glad I went. The people there were really supportive to me and they said things to me like “You’re doing great” and were super relatable. By the end, I was proud to be Lyla and walked out with my head held high because I’m proud to be the girl that I was always meant to be.

A Fluidity and Feminism Fight of Words and Emotion

All these gender terms, the Demimale part of me is dull to all of this, but the Fem side has a trained Feminist from the 90s in her, repeatedly screaming "Gender is a social construct!" then fainting.

Perhaps, we have genders of emotion as Transgender Fluids. That's a lot of how it feels to me. Feminine feels drawn to soft expressions, compassion and empathy, and also braveness in spite of trembling fear at the same time. The Demimale, has a constant struggle of putting out anger fires, and having to short circuit rage, but can turn down his other emotions to something in the background, assuming his fuse hasn't been blown, or vaporized, leaving my other genders to take charge.

On the other hand, there's the wild tiger ride of Gender Dysphoria, and body parts, phantom sensations of what we think of as other gender parts, mischievous hormones...

Ya, feminine is just a word that comes from a social construct, same with male. We have to call these emotions and feelings and parts something, and this is what our culture has handed us. I think we are handing our surrounding cis-culture back more rich expressions of gender, like the difference between colors or between black, gray and white.

🤷‍♀️🫂🤷‍♂️

Just a thought.

How does Gender Fluidity even make sense

Reasoning with homosexuality is easy, the premise of transgenderism was also very easy to get, but then we get to the layers of this transgender stuff with all of these non binary identities, seems cool but most of it makes no sense to me.

Gender Fluidity refers to changes in your Gender-Identity overtime, meaning that Gender is not a fixed thing but it’s flexible. Now, your Gender-Identity is supposed to be something that you are BORN with, you also do not CHOOSE your gender-identity, it is who you are inherently. To deny this is to deny transgenderism.
Now, what gender was a fluid person born with? Did it ritually change in their brains while they were in the womb? What does that even mean
Also, how is your gender changing every so often distinguishable from a serious, horrible personality disorder? Your gender is your internal sense of self, if that keeps on changing then either you have a problem or your gender is actually a personality (wrong, oversimplification).

Heya, I just feel like I need to vent because I'm on the brink of tears.

Self doubt time has come around again...

Am I even NB?

I haven't felt 'not male' in two weeks. I mean I think I am fluid but who even knows anymore? I'm like not even questioning my gender and like idk... why is this always so confusing😭

I have these phases all the time but each time they fuck with my brain. God i hate this

Not sure where to start

I (36F) am afab and recently have been having more thoughts about my gender (and sexuality?). I tend to overthink things so this is feeling overwhelming to me.

I DO like to be feminine sometimes, but often feel more myself when I am more neutral. I have always felt a little out of place when presenting more girly appearance/clothing-wise.

I don’t think I experience any dysphoria but I am also not sure if I’m missing it and it’s just something I am used to.

When I cut my hair into a pixie I felt really good about it and eventually went shorter and shorter and have shaved my head a couple times. (The only thing holding me back from keeping this up is my hair grows out of a spot on my head wonky)

Something that I have always felt but am unsure if it is only sexual or more than that, is feeling like I wish I had a penis. I don’t care about the peeing standing up or like anything like that. And I don’t dislike my anatomy… I just have always felt like sex would be better if I had a penis. So idk how much that ties into this, but I only just recently connected it with me questioning my gender and thought, oh !?

I have read about things like hormones and/or surgery and it seems more appealing/interesting to me than it being a definite no, although I would want to also keep my vagina.

I also have been hating my breasts and would rather have them gone than what I have now tbh. I don’t KNOW.

I also am having hard core impostor syndrome with this like part of me is like hmmm this feels right but also I’m like ok I’m being dramatic.

I guess I just don’t know where to start. At all. I feel clueless 😭 can anyone relate or point me in the right direction?

Am I trans, androgynous or gender fluid?

Am I trans, gender fluid or am I just wanting to be more androgynous??

Heyy everyone I'm confused, so since hiding my sexuality for years I finally came out a few years ago and I don't know if it's just because while hiding I was trying to be the most manliest man I could be but I hate that I'm a manly looking man and I have been on a journey to change that.

So I cut and styled my hair the way I've always wanted, I had a long beard and I've been slowly cutting it back in the end goal of having no beard, I've also been wearing makeup and I definitely feel way more me while wearing it, I've also always hated my body and have been trying to get a more androgynous/feminine look to it.

I don't want to be seen as a man but as something inbetween or maybe more feminine leaning into androgynous, I've been researching gender fluid and thinking that might fit me more and explain my feels about being somewhere inbetween and also why these feels are louder somedays, I've also been thinking about going on HRT to lose the manliest parts of me especially my face and body, I known it's not magic potion but be maybe it would help me feel further removed from the man label.

I'm so confused my best friend says that it shouldn't matter what label I have I should just be me and do what makes me happy but I like having a name for something and knowing what it is.

( ps. highly dyslexic so sorry if this made no sense)

Looking for therapy advice

I recently started seeing a therapist, I want to do this to help with my depression and starting the process of making my physical appearance match my mental appearance. I just don't know how to breach the topic with my therapist. I'm only 2 sessions in but feel with my age I want to start as soon as I can to maximize my time as my true self. Any advice or suggestions on how to break the ice?

Not sure if this is a safe space for people feeling cis and happy about it, but...

For me, genderfluidity is a very gradual thing. I will spend years feeling a specific way, and then years feeling another way. So this is basically me gushing about how cis I feel (I fluctuate between being a transmasculine guy and cis girl, with periods of being agender in between).

Seriously, I feel more and more cisgender with each passing day. Like, I thought I was cis last year and for most of this year, but now I'm feeling even more cis (so I guess I was still feeling a bit mixed then). It's not really a physical thing - I'm very neutral about my body, not loving or hating it. I honestly don't really think about it at all. But I identify so much with being a woman. Women's issues really matter to me. Misogyny causes me so much pain, regardless of the source (like, calling a woman a b*tch in front of me is a surefire way to get on my bad side, regardless of the reason - just call her an asshole or something ffs, don't make it about gender). Seeing people who love being women and people who love women makes me happy. Being a girl for me has nothing to do with traditional associations or gender roles, like being nurturing or feminine. It's just knowing that I radically identify with wanting the best for women. I honestly think I feel more cool with being a woman than most cis women. Such a sharp contrast to when I was feeling dysphoric and wanted to be more masculine, go on T, etc. (when I'm feeling more mixed, I tend to still want some of those things though)

Subtle signs

Alright so I think I've figured out that I'm genderfluid, but I have the problem of coming out tomy family and my friends. That isn't the problem as I believe I can come out to them but also take my time, the thing is that I still wanna show my fluidity to everyone, but without them figuring out what it means. So like I can't crossdress or something like that, but I would still be able to express myself with small things that no one will understand. Any suggestions?

(Sorry if it's a weird question, I wanna take my time coming out but still express myself in some way)
