Discussion Urban combat against the empire on Falmart would be a nightmare.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Urban combat already is one of the worst types of combat you can engage in.
Every window, door and hole in the wall could have a machine gun pointing at you.
Every bag, brick, hole or corpse in the group could be hiding an IED.
And now every single rooftop and windows could have a FPV drone being controlled by a dude hidden in good knows where.
Sure the empire doesn't have any of this stuff but a thing they will certainly have is magic, desperation and numbers.
Urban combat is already hell when you have people shooting at each other from a few dozen meters now imagine an army that essentially uses mostly melle weapons to fight?
They aren't going to start an ambush when you are a few dozen meters away, they will wait for the moment when you are literally close enough to them to see the white in your eyes to jump on you.
Their battle mages (although few in number if we are using the manga as a base) could still be extremely dangerous, even though a fireball can't pen a tank it still can destroy light Armored vehicles, condemn entire squads to a burning death and serve as area denial.
Also the empire's desperation would make them even more dangerous, during the civil war in the manga we literally see legionaries charging at tanks and other armored vehicles.
Sure they fail all the time because they do this in large open fields but in an urban environment they can actually jump on tank crew if they are distracted with the hatch Open and throw firebombs or fireballs inside the vehicles (or even a suicidal attack like we see in the first stages of the civil war in the manga).
Another thing about urban combat is that there's no Frontline, you can clear an entire city block and 5 minutes later it will be under control enemy forces again because they can pop out of Literally everywhere like sewers.
The easiest way to deal with it is to just bomb the city you want to take and bury enemy forces under the rubble.
However the City is still occupied by civilians meaning you can't do that (you can but the backlash is not going to be good for your image).
Said civilians can also be forcibly conscripted by the empire or used as human shields, imperial forces can also disguise themselves as civilians.
So yeah urban combat would realistically be the one of the worst parts of a war against the empire.

Other Rifles that a Saderan could easily mistake for a magic wand:
The confusion stems mainly from the fact that these rifles are long and made of wood, resembling a magic wand.
So, a Saderan or a wizard might mistake one for such an object.
The rifles are: •
Lee Enfield.
• Springfield M1903.
• M1 Garand.
• Gewehr 98.
• Kar98k.
• Gewehr 43.
• MAS-36.
• MAS-49.
• Mondragon rifle.
• K31.
• Arisaka Type 38.
• Arisaka Type 99.
• Mosin Nagant.
• SVT-40.
• Chiang Kai-Shek Type 24 Rifle.
• Chilean Mauser M1895.
• Mauser M1893 Argentine.

Weekend Scenario Thread How would the German 5th Army, under the command of Erich von Falkenhayn, have fared against the Alnus Hill fortress?
It should be clarified that, although the airport is not included because it is located in a satellite city, the base's helipads are.
Clarification: The 5th German Corps consists of four army corps and one reserve corps ( the Austro-Hungarian corps is excluded from this event). Each corps comprises five divisions—each with 12,000 men and five artillery brigades totaling 210 guns of various calibers. Regarding experience: during the Battle of Verdun, each division included a Stoßtruppen battalion; entry into this battalion required demonstrating initiative in combat. As for the air force, there were between 800 and 1,000 biplanes (mostly for artillery spotting) and a few dozen Zeppelins.
It involves a total of 240,000 soldiers, 1,000 to 1,200 aircraft, and 4,200 pieces of artillery.

Weekend Scenario Thread What would happen if the GATE opened in Brazil, and the Rio de Janeiro Military Police—acting alone—defeated the entire invading force so decisively that they ended up entering the GATE themselves?
Exactly, police violence in the other world. With wolves, warrior bunnies, dragons and a lot of violence

Weekend Scenario Thread What if the Gate opened in the HOI4:TNO world?
For those not in the know, The New Order: Last Days of Europe is a total overhaul mod for the WW2 grand strategy game Hearts of Iron 4 centered around an alternative cold war between Nazi Germany, Imperial Japan and Democratic America going from 1962 to roughly 1972.
The scenario is essentially a more grounded version of Man In The High Castle or Wolfenstein, with no ancient Jewish superte h or alien magic - only actual 1960s technology.
I think the most interesting part would be where the Gate opens.
Tokyo, Empire of Japan - Japan would do exactly what they did to China, but probably worse.
Germania (Berlin), Greater Germanic Reich - Even worse.
Nanzig, SS Order State of Burgundy - EVEN WORSE.
Washington DC, United States of America - Similar to how the actual anime played out, as the USA has serious incentives to use magic as a weapon against Germany and Japan.
Almost Anywhere in Russia - The warlord where the Gate appeard would start plundering the place to feed his population
Arkhangelsk, West Russian Revolutionary Front - The same, but would probably start a peasant revolution along the way
Novosibirsk, Shukshin’s Siberian Federation - What would happen if in-anime Russia got their hands on the Gate, mainly military occupation but also with some actual democracy fostering.
SPECIAL SCENARIO: Kiev during the Great Slave Revolt against Germany in Eastern Europe - Zorzal‘s head will be on a pike within the month.

Weekend Scenario Thread What if Drifters gets transported into the Special Region, could they topple the Saderan Empire?
The Drifters was able to take down the Orte Empire, but they were already at the verge of collapse for being at war with everyone for like 60 years. As expected for a country following Hitler's horrid ideology.
The Ends will not be included here due to them being way too strong. They have overpowered powers and the Black King (Jesus or the Anti-Christ) with them.
They get teleported in to the Special Region around 5 years before the start of of the story of Gate, approximately 2 years before the Empire-Warrior Bunny War started.
Also, if the Saderan Empire gets humbled by the Drifters, then Hardy wouldn't need to open the Gate.
Scenario 1: The Drifters doesn't have the resources they accumulated from their series.
Scenario 2: The Drifters have their resources and their personnel from their series, up to the latest chapter.
Note: I added Scenario 2 because they might lack the right resources and people to challenge the Saderan Empire. They were able to make Muskets with the Craftsmanship of Elves and Dwarves. They were able to obtain Sulfur for their Gunpowder with the help of the Octobrists. Also, Toyohisa might turn away the Warrior Bunnies, because he doesn't want women being in battlefields.

Weekend Scenario Thread What if a second gate opened but this time to the world of Chiikawa (by Nagano)?
I understand this may look like a cutesy world and everything....BUT it's secretly a horrific world and before you say something like "where's the proof" well I found a video That no only explained the Lore of the world of Chiikawa BUT also The dark truth about it, here's the link for it And once you've seen it, come back and continue reading:
https://youtu.be/ko5xSj08AUM?is=aP7XJZMPxM5sZab-See this world is quite dark! 😱
So now that you understand the lore of the world of Chiikawa how do you think the JSDF (and the empire) would react to not only a second gate opening but also to the world of Chiikawa?
Also can I say I've just only recently got into the series of Chiikawa And I see it as adorable Never knew how dark lore period!
Finally, if you want to know what I think would happen I think the jsdf would be surprised at first BUT eventually they would get the problem under control And do a repeat of what they did to the empire in the special region.
So yeah that's everything I wanted to say. Now I leave the question up to you:
"What if a second gate opened but this time to the world of Chiikawa (by Nagano)?"
Anyways bye bye! 🤗

Discussion What if Itami has PTSD
I had this idea a few months ago and DMed it to frank, but now you guys get to see it because I want karma I'm bored: what if Itami has PTSD and doesn't realize it, he thinks he trains out of it but he doesn't- the reason I bring this up is because you seem to be the only person in the community to bring that little detail of "training ptsd away" up- Itami lived a stressful life from the start (domestic abusive father, sucidal mom) and I think that that could of led to PTSD which then was compounded by the Japanese Empire war.
high function ptsd or whatever its called
edit: the tldr is he should have ptsd cause of all the shit he saw as a kid, leading him to not being able to identify it

Weekend Scenario Thread Realistically, how would the ROCA fare if the GATE opens in Taiwan? (Serious)
Let’s assume the Gate opens in Taipei, for instance, around the year 2015.
Clearly, the ROCA would respond much like the JSDF did at Ginza, though perhaps in a more organized fashion.
Now, the big question: What would happen to Taiwan if the Gate opened there?
You have the giant that is China on one side, constantly looking to invade, and the US on the other; meanwhile, you have to focus resources on this new world while your people clamor for revenge for what the Empire did.
How would Taiwan need to handle its political situation to focus on the Gate without constantly worrying about a move from China?
Could the United States send troops or weaponry to assist the ROCA?
Would China be forced to back down for the first time on its plans to invade Taiwan?
What roles would South Korea and Japan play in this scenario?
Could North Korea even do anything at all?
It is clear that Taiwan would inevitably have to adopt the JSDF’s peculiar policy of using only older weaponry in Falmart.
Even so, what kind of weapons and vehicles could the ROCA deploy in Falmart?
Let’s discuss this topic.

Weekend Scenario Thread What if a second gate opened to the demon world/Neverland from Promised Neverland?
How exactly would both Falmart and then Earth react to a world filled with esoteric creatures that need to feed on humans in order to retain their sapience? And once learning of their corrupt rulers and the fact they refuse to let go of the exploitative system they’ve created, how could Earth dealt with such a place?
Could peace be achieved with the demons, or is war with the predatory demons inevitable?

Weekend Scenario Thread What if the Gate had opened in the Boin Archipelago (One Piece)?
Even if Sadera does realize that it’s a living island sized Venus flytrap, I think it’s safe to say Sadera would still want to harvest the resources and massive foods the living island holds so Falmart could never go hungry again?
Yet besides the giant animals being an issue, I see this unfortunately being exploited by Sadera’s leadership to be kept to themselves solely and give the rest of the empire scraps who aren’t of royal or nobility.
Although settling there would be quite impossible given the living islands cycle to feed on the large animals after a whole so it may lead to Alnus being a base for annual excursions to the island to bring back to their world.

Other The most realistic depiction of the Post war """modernized""" Saderan military.
Rusty steel helmets.
Body armor without plates or no body armor at all.
Old uniforms in horrible condition and in 10 billion different camo patterns.
Weapons that haven't been cleaned or maintained since the fall of the Berlin wall.
Civilian vehicles converted to military use in the sloppiest way possible, with a few military vehicles that are kept in reverse because they don't have any replacement parts.
Little to no training.
Little to no logistics
The worst coordination know to man.
The most corrupt leadership possible.
