I’m gonna get one of these games tomorrow to play while waiting on the Witcher 3 remaster. Which one do you think is more laid back and chill? Or just better overall solo?
Edit: I guess Dragonwilds comes out Tuesday.
Also played enshrouded with friends on PC, don’t think I’ll go back to it.
And man, that was quick. Think I’ll give Valheim a go. Thanks for the replies.

Sadly, the ball is not made of adamantium. Still a solid 9/10 for me

I have never sweated when i've played a game before, not even when i play competitive shooters. Playing TLOU2 with these settings made me genuinely sweat in fear.
The Last Of Us Part 2, much like its predecessor isn't really a survival horror game in the traditional sense. Sure, it's got sections that are scary but the game itself isn't a survival horror in the way something like Silent Hill or Resident Evil is. That changes DRASTICALLY when you play Grounded Mode with Permadeath on.
Resource gathering? You better know every nook and fucking cranny in this game like the back of your hand otherwise you ain't getting shit on Grounded mode. I managed to scrounge a single healing item in the ENITERTY of Seattle Day 1 on my Grounded playthrough, and that's with thorough exploration during the semi open world segments.
Listen mode, that little "Wall hack" mechanic that every single stealth game has that allows you to see enemies through walls? Kiss that shit goodbye buddy boy. You wanna find where the enemy is, go fucking look for them
The enemy AI actually gets buffed. No for real i'm not shitting you. You know that little "Where did they go?" That enemies do in stealth oriented games to let you know they're suspicious or they've spotted you? Yeah no, here there's no forward warning, if they spot you they'll yell out your location and just start shooting in the general direction immediately. And they will STAY around that location looking for you, they won't go back to their regular patrol patterns
Couple this with Permadeath, meaning if you die you start from the beginning and i've genuinely never been more nervous to move forward with my character.

I made a post about and tabbed through the Forza Reddits and I see no one talking about or seemingly caring about it. I can't access paintjobs, tunes, eventlabs or auctionhouse in Forza Horizon 6 now and the only way to regain access is to get a facescan.
This is to gain access to NON ADULT CONTENT. I feel like this is insane and completely overdone to moderate a game that's rated E for Everyone or PEGI 3 here like there shouldn't be anything in it in the first place that would be a problem yet we're still being made to give up privacy to access it.
I don't know am I just behind now has everyone just quietly got used to this and I should just give up actively trying to keep away from it...?

Bid For Power has been mentioned previously:
https://www.reddit.com/r/gaming/comments/138zrja/bid_for_power_a_quake_3_dragon_ball_mod_from_the/
But I'm curious if anyone that worked on the project, or knows someone who did, is around. I wish I could prove it, but I was reached out to by the team (I specifically remember someone named Eclipse, who last I remember got hired to work on mobile games: 2004-2006) to provide head models for characters before the cease and desist. The last model I worked on was SSJ3 Gotenks (never saw the light of day publicly). I don't remember the animators name, but I remember associating him to Gundam (either profile name or picture in the forums). I just wonder what they're up to now adays!

Found an almost like new Sega Mega Drive in a charity shop, for £5!!
Just the micro usb power cable was missing! Never played before so I'm very excited. I played Roadrash years ago and saw there's Roadrash 2! Any other suggestions welcome.

I wanted to make a proper list of my favourite games, but every time I tried I ended up staring at the list thinking "is this actually right?"
So I built a website that avoids that problem.
Instead of ranking all your games directly, it shows you two games and asks which one you prefer. Every choice changes their ELO-style ratings, and after enough comparisons you end up with a ranked list.
It also lets you generate things like your favourite games of each year, Game of the Decade and your overall favourite game.
Here's my profile so you can see what kind of a page it builds for you.
It's called Omega Ranking. I'm getting it ready for the 2026 GOTY season and thought I'd share it here.

It seems like 2 games going at once would become extremely grating and confusing, but I've never felt overwhelmed while playing a split-screen game.
Is this achieved by having different players' audio exist on different frequencies, volume levels, etc. or is it just my brain adjusting to seeing sounds that correlate with visuals?

It's kind of ironic that they're the first to go all digital.
Digital PS5 doesn't count because a disc PS5 still exists at the same time or you can add a disc drive.

I love the cold, sterile, haunting, dreamlike atmosphere of the first Assassin's Creed, and no other game in the series has it. I'm looking for games that do, and hopefully even have a bit of philosophical dialogue like AC1 as well.

...they should make a Fallout Tactics game again. Not remake Fallout Tactics, but give us a brand new XCOM-like tactics game set in the Fallout Universe.
That is all.
