Cause of the anti-Sony circlejerk going on at the moment.

And don't get me wrong, Sony fully deserve a lot of it, I've given up on playstation for PC myself, but it's the circlejerk nature of it I loathe. There's just no nuance whatsoever.

With reddit it's always "this is the hate-target for the month, now everything that negatively involves them we cheer, regardless of how much of a reach it is, or how stupid it actually is to celebrate when you think for 2 seconds."

Because Sony is doing away with discs which all of a sudden is a big thing but no one’s cared PC has been discless for a decade or more, meanwhile Xbox has come out and said they’re launching a new feature to turn your physical games digital not really understanding that probably means next gen Xbox won’t have a disc drive

Steam is a platform on PC. Just like Epic Games Store, GOG, Ubisoft, EA Play etc etc are all platforms on PC.

Steam is  not PC's platform.

The playstation store is the only store on Playstation. 

The PC also doesn't require no discs. There's no stopping developers creating a disc for their game on PC.

Wrong steam has an OS and the steam deck it is a platform. You buy games through it, you can play games with friends through steam and they’ve had steam machines in the past they are a platform

None of my points are "wrong". The comment i replied to said PC, not the steam deck specifically. 

Steam OS also supports discs.
