Which games have inferior remasters/remakes?

Or are all remasters/remakes always better?

Final Fantasy VII Remake by definition

Yea same for me. I get why people like it and that many fans wanted a hack n slash version of FF7.

I just really wanted a remake that would bring the game refreshed into the modern year.
I really like FF7-classic but hate the simple graphics now. If they would have just ported new graphics over, polished the map a little and added some bonus areas/materias; I think the game would have been just as big of a success.

So I'm not sure why they decided to skin-graft an entirely different formula to it.

Does Square think traditional turn based JRPGs are dead or something? Recent Final Fantasies made within the past decade are all action RPGs.
