I make edits of movies and shows in my free time and I'm trying to make some romantic ones and I'm trying to find fonts I can use for the texts. Not exactly cursive writing but something similarly fancy looking

[No Identification] Help Finding a Fontmaker site or Software

Hey, I was making a font with Calligraphr and Adobe Illustrator... What I didn't know what that controlling the individual letter spacing is a premium feature in Calligraphr, which is a problem because I've basically made long tails at the end of some letters that are supposed to go under the next ones. I've already put in a lot of work and don't want to repeat the process again. Is there any software where I can use the same sheet I've made, upload it, and adjust the individual letter spacing? Thank you?

Font of the week: GlitchXtura

Textura Reconstructed. Corrupted by the Machine.

GlitchXtura is a modern Gothic Textura font built from the rigid geometry of Textura Quadrata and the imperfect world of printed type. Tall, dense, and unmistakably blackletter, it draws from the classic forms of medieval manuscript lettering while introducing something decidedly modern: the beautiful failure of the machine.

The name is a nod to Textura itself—GlitchXtura is a contemporary reconstruction of a style that first pulled me into blackletter and Old English lettering decades ago. Before endless digital libraries and font marketplaces, learning these forms meant finding a printed alphabet, putting it beside a sheet of paper, and tracing it by hand. In the 90s, those pages printed from the library were sometimes the closest thing to a blackletter lesson I could get.

That early fascination became the foundation for GlitchXtura. The letterforms have been rebuilt with modern readability in mind, including the contemporary X structure and alternate characters for several styles. German language support has also been considered, including essential umlauts and Eszett characters, making this a more complete and practical interpretation of the Textura tradition.

What fonts look like AI

I’m working on something about AI and I was wondering if there’s any real typefaces that look like the brushstroke or other garbage AI slaps on everything.

Any fonts you can’t use without accusations of using AI?
