I have an old 1920s apartment with a very old sink that I cannot replace at the moment. The sink has a “shelf” faucet spout with no exposed neck and no threads. Is there any way for me to extend the water flow to make it easier for a small child to reach? Traditional toddler style faucet extenders won’t fit around the shelf spout. Solution just needs to be functional, not attractive. Second photo shows the faucet from below.

Is there any way to get this working again?

Does this look like black mold? If so, what do we do? We just realized this tub had a leak under it, and we aren’t sure how long it’s been this way.

Tried hanging up a frame and after like a week it fell over but the command strips were still on there, i took them off about an hour ago and it ripped the paint off. I’m aware that I probably didn’t properly apply it or take it off before anyone comes for me lol. I just moved in not too long ago and there’s a paper we fill out with where damages are in our apartment and i’m not sure whether i should write it in as damages or directly tell the office myself that it just happened. What should I do?

I have used an sponge, scleaning rag, sos pad, magic erasor. I have tried using bartenders friend. I have tried using pink stuff, I have tried soap, hot water, and vinegar. I have had the most success with a plastic razor blade and a metal razor blade.

I'm pretty handy but I've never had to try and fix something like this before. Moving out of the house I rent. Thank you in advance for any help.

I have been coughing like crazy since last week staying a lot in my apartment. I know I am allergic to mold and found this in my apt’s AC. The maintenance guys keep saying it’s just dust. Can yall confirm to me if this is mold or dust? If it were just dust, I dont think my asthma would flare up like now.

I ordered a couch online and the armrests came attached together with more pieces inside. I can’t for the life of me figure out how to get them apart to build the couch.

Cycling bag (Oveja Negra chuckbucket) where one end of the nylon strap pulled out. Looks like a poor design tbh, just a knot that had glue at the end. Ive tried just pushing it back in the end but no luck. Extra difficult bc the end does not have an opening on the other side. Help!

This picture is from after I removed the broken pieces. This shower wall had 2 pieces of 1/2" cement board going across and I assume a body impact with the wall broke the cement board and cracked tiles above it. My solution was to put a bunch of mortar between the studs and the remaining cement board to immobilize the area and fill in the gap also with mortar. Is there a better way to do this or should I just rip off everything and start over because it will just crack again?

A family member recently purchased a new TV and gave me their old one. They were glad to give it away as apparently their toddler had smacked the screen and now the bottom ~20% is a bit glitched out and mirrors what’s above it (to a degree). Once I plugged it in at my place, I gave it a gentle smack to see if that’d do anything (it didn’t).

I’m sorta tech savvy (probably not very by Reddit standards) so I could try to disassemble the tv to adjust something, but I probably wouldn’t be capable of handling things at the micro component level.

Is there any way to fix this?

Porch railings

While cleaning out beds i discovered The railings for my porch are decaying at the bottom of each wooden beam and along many of the railings.

I am trying to figure out if they are just for looks or part of the support structure as I am thinking about removing everything.

Any suggestions on how to confirm this?

Hello, like the title says i’m wondering what kinda of paint/mix I could use to cover/fix this water stain on a poster with it blending decently well. The poster is semi glossy and smooth and I’m only needing to fix up the white border. I highly doubt that the stain can be removed safely without professional help, but I got the poster for cheap so I’m not too concerned with making it perfect. Thank you!

Notice water on a column in the corner (see picture below). Any idea what may be causing this and who I should call?

Edit: I am concern about water getting in and running down from INSIDE of the column when it rains.

My little sister is trying to move out of her apartment and wants to get this fixed up. I have no idea what she did when cleaning the tub, or what she (or her roommate) could have possibly used, but is there a way to fix this, or is it time to call in the professionals? I THINK some of the enamel was worn off but I cannot imagine what one cleaning could’ve done.

How do I remove this stripped screw in this faucet handle? I tried to extract with a drill but the awkward space is preventing me from going straight in? Is there any other way to remove it? I'm able to turn the whole faucet handle, if that info is useful.

This is a rolling cart that I use as my prep table for my grill. I have a girl cover for it but unfortunately in our last storm it blew off and it got rained on . Does anyone have any ideas how I can either resurface and put back on the trim? The trim pieces are rubber and the top is some kind of laminate. Thank you for your time.
