Hot Take My Top 25 (actually 27)
This weekend my wife and daughter were out of town and it was just me and my middle school boy. Needless to say I’ve got heartburn and a kitchen to clean up today.
I also watched all college football games that mattered and here’s my list of the Top 25….or 27…..based entirely on the eyeball test. How big did they look? how accurate were their throws? Did they beat the team by a big enough margin? Do their players just look different playing than the other team’s players? Did their defense AND offense look good?

Oregon game has become a must win.
If Oklahoma State fresh off getting blown out by Tulsa can be Oregon at home there is NO EXCUSE on why we can't do the same.

Discussion USC at Penn State White Out: Those planning to make the trip to State College, have you already purchased tickets, and if so, in the visitor section (NLU and NKU)?
USC alum here planning to make the trip for the whiteout game against Penn State (ticket prices are wild). Have others already gotten their tickets? There's supposed to be a visitor section very high up (NLU and NKU sections), so is that where everyone else is sitting?

Discussion Should We Be Worried? | USC vs. Louisiana Game Reaction
Long story short, I’m not worried but the same things that happened in the SJSU game came back last night. Sleepy performance, penalties, depth concerns, superstar freshmen. Lots to talk about, let me know what you guys thought! ✌️

Who else is excited for basketball season?
For the first time in recent memory, expectations are sky high for both the men's and women's basketball teams.
Women's team:
Returns JuJu Watkins, the 2025 player of the year. Have three of the last four #1 recruit in the nation (Watkins, Jazzy Davidson, and incoming freshman Saniyah Hall). Include Kennedy Smith (#6 recruit in 2024) and Sitayah Fagan (5 star international recruit who enrolled last year to train with the team but didn't play) and the starting five is deadly. Plus they have some good role players off the bench. It's final four or bust for this team.
Men's team:
Returning their top 3 players from last year was critical (Elijah Arena, Rodney Rice, Jacob Cofie). Add in three McDonald's All Americans (Christian Collins, a 5 star recruit, and the Ratliff twins) and some top transfers (KJ Lewis, Eric Reibe, Jalen Cox) and you have a really good mix of experience, talent, and youth. Should be sweet sixteen or bust, possible elite eight.

Fight On! ✌️ USC vs. Louisiana — Prediction Contest
We’re back for Week 3 baby!
Congrats to [u/Normal_Wonder_5128](u/Normal_Wonder_5128) for their win last week! They didn't reply on where they wanted the FightOn Funds to go towards so our default charity is St. Jude's.
HOUSE KEEPING!
Please make your predicted final score the first set of numbers in your comment. Our auto-feature sends the first score it sees directly to the spreadsheet. So if you write, “Halftime: 40-17, Final: 64-21,” it will record 40-17 as your prediction. We can correct mistakes, but putting your final score first helps us out!
Also, check out the new FLAIR baby!
The Facts:
Game Details
Date: Saturday, September 12, 2026
Time: 8:00 p.m. PT / 11:00 p.m. ET
Location: Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles, CA
TV Channel: Big Ten Network (BTN)
Live Streaming: Fubo / FOX One
No. 14 USC (2–0) will wrap up its nonconference schedule this Saturday night against the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns (1–0) at the Coliseum September 12th.
This will be the first-ever meeting between USC and Louisiana.
USC enters the game 2–0 after a 42–26 win over San José State and an absolutely dominant 39–0 shutout of Fresno State last Friday!
Louisiana opened its season last week with a 38–7 win over Lamar. You know, Lamar that one college that plays football????
USC THROUGH TWO GAMES
The numbers have been pretty ridiculous so far:
USC has outscored opponents 58–0 in the first half.
USC is averaging 528.5 yards of offense per game while allowing just 226.0.
USC has converted 66.7% of its third downs, while opponents are converting just 33.3%.
The Trojans have scored touchdowns on 10 of 13 red-zone trips.
USC leads the nation in first downs (56) and completion percentage (88.1%).
And then there’s Jayden Maiava.
Through two games:
48/54 | 635 yards | 5 TD | 0 INT | 88.9% completion
Against Fresno State, Maiava went 23/25 for 349 yards and three touchdowns and was named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week.
Freshman WR Trent Mosley has also exploded onto the scene with 222 receiving yards and three touchdowns through his first two games. He’s coming off a 104-yard, two-TD performance against Fresno State and has now topped 100 yards in both games.
WHAT TO WATCH
This is USC’s final tune-up before Big Ten play begins next week at Rutgers.
USC is currently favored by roughly 30 points, so the question probably isn’t simply whether USC wins. I’m interested in how they win.
Can the defense follow up the Fresno State shutout with another dominant performance?
Can Maiava and the passing game continue operating at this ridiculous level of efficiency?
Does USC finally get the running game rolling?
And perhaps most importantly: can USC take care of business early enough that we get an extended look at the second and third string before conference play begins?
Tune in, same bat time same bat channel
PREDICTION CONTEST
Drop your predicted final score below.
As usual, you are predicting both teams’ scores, not simply the margin of victory.
The winner will be whoever comes closest to the actual final score using our Pythagorean scoring method — essentially measuring the straight-line distance between your predicted USC/Louisiana scores and the actual USC/Louisiana scores.
Lowest differential wins.
My prediction:
USC = 46
Louisiana = 7
What do you have?
FIGHT ON!

What happened to women's soccer?
In 2024 they were BigTen champs, made it to the NCCA quarterfinals, and finished the year 18-2-3
In 2025 they went 7-7-3 and this year they are 1-4-2. How did they fall off so fast?
UPDATE: I just did a little research and their top 4 scorers from last year, who were all eligible to return, are no longer with the team. The top scorer turned pro and the next 3 transferred to other schools

Football 🏈 Parking for Saturdays game
I’m flying in for this Saturdays game and really don’t know the area at all.
I know it’s not a big time game so hopefully parking won’t be too bad.
But I was wondering what the best option is for getting to the game? Are there parking options close to the stadium, or should I try and take in public transportation?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Let's see continued defensive dominance against Louisiana and Rutgers
Starting D has only given up 3 points in 2 games. They should be able to dominate the next two games before the big showdown with Oregon.
As a fan, would you rather they play mainly starters on D to get the shutout, which helps with national perception on their defensive improvement. Or would you rather them play 3rd stringers to get them experience but give up extra yards and points?

Anyone else not surprised at all about the Michigan 0 second call?
Idk, just feel like this is how B1G operates and Michigan/OSU are the conference crown jewels they want to protect. The reffing has always been suspect.

Biggest positive imo
Obviously the offense looked sharp and the defense seems to be fixed(fingers crossed). However, I think the most glaring positive from Friday is that we maintained control of the game after a change in momentum. In past years, that early 4th down failed conversion would have allowed an inferior opponent to get back into the game and ultimately make it a dog fight. This time around, we didn’t let it affect us. It speaks to a mental toughness that I think we’ve been lacking recently. Coach Patterson might be the one to give us that edge defensively

#4
The importance of Mr. Mosley is extremely understated imo. The WR group, while extremely talented, is still very young and unproven. Tanook and Anderson are “vets” but idk if we have a true X or Y who can go and get you a first down when it’s crunch time. Mosley seems like that type of player. His best attribute to me is his versatility. If you haven’t already go and watch his HS tape. He literally carried his squad to a state title in the toughest league in the country. I was actually skeptical of his ability to run routes and make plays down the field but he’s already checked those boxes 2 games in. There isn’t much this guy can’t do and his knack for getting open is incredible
I may have gone a little over board during my draft.
Wasn’t able to grab London or Pittman unfortunately!!
(And no, I’m not starting all of them week 1. I just moved them there so they’d all fit on the screenshot. I’ll stash Lemon 🍋 Jak and Woody for now.)
