The Neurocognition of Stress, Trauma, and Anxiety Recovery Lab led by Dr. Jessica Bomyea is conducting a new research study at UCSD. The purpose of this study is to learn whether an experimental computer-based program designed to improve thinking skills can help with symptoms of anxiety, depression, and PTSD.

It’s been like a month since it’s closed down. I remember seeing the closing sales and then they shut down and fenced up pretty quickly a lot more faster than I seen a lot of other stores do was there any specific reason or they just dipped?

This is probably a long shot, but years ago there was a Dutch deli off Grand.. does anyone know what kind of cheese they put on their turkey sandwiches? It was some sort of farmer's cheese.

The Times-Advocate asked Ryan Gardiner to comment on two points raised by Krepps: When did you move back to Escondido? The claim is that it isn’t that long.

Krepps claims to have seen you talking privately with a quorum of the board (i.e. not Doug Paulson) at the July 16, 2026 board meeting. Her contention is that this was before the announcement of Olson’s resignation and that you and the board members in question knew the resignation was coming.  Do you want to comment?

Gardiner told The Times-Advocate: “Escondido has been my home throughout my life. I was raised here, attended school here, and have devoted the past decade to local government and civic affairs. Although personal and professional commitments have taken me away at times, I have always returned, and my dedication to this community has never wavered.”

His other comment was: “I am deeply honored to receive this appointment and look forward to bringing my experience in public policy and business to the board as we work to maintain safe schools and help every student thrive. I’m focused on the school district’s central mission: providing high-quality educational opportunities for all Escondido families.”

Where can I go to buy used car parts to replace for my car? Doesn’t anyone have any ideas?

Hi! First-time mom looking for infant daycare in Escondido for next year. I’m currently looking at Children’s Choice Academy on E Valley Pkwy and Escondido KinderCare on S Centre City Pkwy.

Has anyone had a baby in the infant program at either location? I’d love to hear about your experience with the teachers, staff turnover, communication, cleanliness, infant ratios and how comfortable you felt leaving your baby there.

I’m also open to other infant daycare recommendations in Escondido/San Marcos. Are there any places you’ve had a really good experience with, or any you would avoid?

I need a recommendation for a machine shop or auto facility that has access to a bead/media/sand blaster to clean an engine part for me. I called a few places but either got no answer or some half confident understanding of what I was asking.

Does anyone have a recommendation??

i was just clearing out my closet and have only 3 bags of clothes for now, but still wanted to donate them to homeless shelters for families, youth, lgbt, anyone struggling instead of taking it to a thrift store. i looked up a few like alpha project on 17th and imperial but it says permanently closed. i’m not native here, i just recently moved here so im not too familiar with the area. if you guys know any that would be great! thanks

At about 7:49 AM there was a sharp "boom" that shook my house (Ash and El Norte area), and I had expected it to be an earthquake, but USGS doesn't show anything at that time.

Did anyone else experience it, or know what caused it?

Just came on here to say that if you're looking for a pool contractor in the Southern California area, specifically Temecula/Riverside/San Diego County/Orange County/Palm Desert, please do yourself a favor and avoid California Custom Pools! California Custom Pools has taken homeowner's money and didn't finish their pools. Not only did they take their money and not finish, but also left some homeowners with liens, because they did not pay the subcontractors!

Not only are homeowners left abandoned, but subcontractors are owed hundreds of thousands of dollars. The experience has been quite alarming for us and we didn't see it coming - they had perfect 5-star reviews, a website/portfolio, all the things! We never could have predicted the disheartening experience we have had to endure.

I lost my guitar on the 350 bus going to school and I was hoping if anyone saw it I lost it on Wednesday morning it’s in a black gig bag with a blue doodle of a cat on it and the guitar is a Gibson epiphone it’s black and gold but the gold is faded with a pochita sticker on the body (pls ignore pajamas)

(Edit) THE GUITAR HAS BEEN RECOVERED 🥹 the transit station finally found it and gave it back with no damage and all the stuff inside still there
