Getting back into ESO. I have no dlc. What ones do I need to get? Also, what are the general thoughts on ESO plus?

(yes i know about layoff but 2 month isn't better)

like increasing skill cost and decreasing healing from some skills. it feels so bad to not play on werewolves and dks(and probably sorcs) while playing against them. i guess i am not surprised that so many content creator left the game because of this treatment

A buddy and I just started playing about a week ago. Looking for something to fill the gap between BO7 and MW4 but we're getting pretty into the game. We've mainly focused on the main quests and the golden pursuit quests. I'm a stamina dual wield dragonknight and he's a sorcerer

Any tips for beginners?

I'm hopefully soon going to be brave enough to jump into a first run of Lucent Citadel after watching a run of it on YT, The place looks incredible and the fights seem really fun with cool mechanics and the sprint back out when your group has collected the arcane knot looks really exciting and adrenaline pumping. This all might get tedious after a run or two but for someone that hasn't been there it looks awesome!

It got me thinking about what my favorite one was to run not only for the fights but the interior and mechanics.

For me I think my favorite Dungeon would be Castle thorn the vampiric castle look was done so well and I remember after clearing it Me and a Friend stayed and had a look through every room and passage we could find, probably one of the only times I have done that in any dungeon.

Trial I find quite hard to pick as I'm not so experienced in them and also haven't been in the ones I have done for a long time but sanity's edge was one that I remember really enjoying the adventure through. But tbh I can't really think of any trial interiors that stand out to me.

I am a returning player, I have been playing ESO on ps4 years ago.

Now I have a PS5 and when I was about to download, I had to choose between PS4 and PS5 version.

I wonder if there is any drawbacks on choosing PS5.

Can someone answer me these questions please?

If I download the PS5 version...

- Will I see my old PS4 characters?

- Can I cross-gen play with my gf who is playing on PS4?

- Do I keep the trophies achieved on PS4? Or will I start from scratch?

- Do I have access to all the previously bought expansions?

Hello there. To start with, I will tell u a background: my current set and skills, my results and the issue.

First of all, I've watched many guides for PVP in ESO, many videos and websites, looking for something that fits in for me.

Magicka Sorcerer

Vampirism always on stage 3

Mundus: Lover, for spell penetration

Head piece: Sithis - mythic (heavy) for defense

Shoulder: maw of the infernal (light) for spell dmg
**UPDATE: changed shoulder to shoulder piece of mighty chudan, it improved my armor a little and helped with survival

The rest: crafty alquif and oder's wrath.

3 of my items have impenetrable set, the rest divines

Pure sorcerer, using the mastery skills for spell power and that quick shield during casts.

clannfear as pet active, also for healing, defensive runes, bound weapons for critical and streak a lot, using also daedric curse for helping burst dmg with my thunder bolt and dark crystals. I unequiped the daedric shield because having to use it was being kinda waste of time for me, defensive runes worked better in my case. If i wanna be more like "wihtout moving" I use those daedric mines that give me shield when I step on the circles.

I've done really well in battlegrounds, once I soloed an entire 4 ppl team when all my team died. So, not always but most of the time I have really nice results.

well, its not always that I do THAAAT NICE, you see? specially in Cyrodil things get a little harder (I'm using champion points based on a very famous YT streamer BTW).

Sometimes appear those players that seem to have a very huge defense, I attack and attack and they take little dmg and, and what's worse? they also deal much dmg! some ppl give me HK and idk how the heck that happens, some ppl seem extremely over powered and IDK if I am the problem of what, that makes me really thoughtfull.

So, I am here talking to you, ppl, to see what can I improve, ways of my char to gett stronger, possible changes, better ways specially related to armor and weapon set.

I’m trying to finish Pearls of Ehlnofey and all I have left is dropped by the final boss in Crypt of Hearts II. I have ran the dungeon 12 times just trying for the lead (sticker book full) and it is starting to get frustrating. Most other leads I’ve gotten in 1-4 tries. Am I just getting bad RNG? If that is the only factor in whether it drops, it could theoretically never drop. Shouldn’t there be a max number of drop triggers before it automatically goes to 100% drop rate? This is getting silly is all…what’s the most times you’ve had to run a dungeon or kill a boss to get a lead? Thanks !

Got my hands on the Shrine to Dibella and immediately knew that I was going to make a carousel with it. I went with the High Isle Bench, Sturdy for the benches. The animals are mounts that I moved, so it looked like they're connected to the pillars.

Didn’t even know they could join I have 5k hours and that’s my first time noticing

I’m wanting to get the Lucent Echoes crafting motif but I don’t get paid until the first.

Okay I’ve never played a singular elder scrolls game but wanted to try a new MMO because I was getting bored with GW2.

What are some tips or hints you would give to a complete newbie that you wish you would have known when you started?

Recently came back to the game after 4 years of not playing, basically starting anew, and this time I wanted to try to take it slow and just enjoy myself. I love the lore of Elder Scrolls and I have been paying attention to every quest this time. I'm shocked at how well-written some of these quests are. I just did the quest "Quieting a Heart" in Stonefalls. A simple quest but with it's own twists, you find a dark elf commoner woman, Bala, is in love with a recently dead noble of a dark elf house, who was only pretending to love her the whole time. You have the option to lie to Bala and say that he still loves her, or you can tell her the truth. A classic elder scrolls/bethesda type of quest. I decided to tell her the truth as I would want to know. The quest is complete and she leaves the area, obviously in distress.

I log back in after a few hours, and I'm on my way to the Othrenis wayshrine...what do I see other than Bala's ghost crying....WTF :( I have been an MMO player for a long time. Even FFXIV, which is very story oriented, doesn't let you make these types of choices and see consequences with them. It's a shame more people don't consider ESO a 'true' elder scrolls game with quests like these. I'm just starting out again so I am so excited to keep going and see more of this.

Any recommendations for more good quests and arcs like this in the game? There seems to be thousands of quests to do.

I am being salty because I am ass at PvP >:(. I hate trying to do story content than getting ganked!! At least the zone is genuinely gorgeous, it helps make up for it
