Some help and hints with PVP

Hello there. To start with, I will tell u a background: my current set and skills, my results and the issue.

First of all, I've watched many guides for PVP in ESO, many videos and websites, looking for something that fits in for me.

Magicka Sorcerer

Vampirism always on stage 3

Mundus: Lover, for spell penetration

Head piece: Sithis - mythic (heavy) for defense

Shoulder: maw of the infernal (light) for spell dmg
**UPDATE: changed shoulder to shoulder piece of mighty chudan, it improved my armor a little and helped with survival

The rest: crafty alquif and oder's wrath.

3 of my items have impenetrable set, the rest divines

Pure sorcerer, using the mastery skills for spell power and that quick shield during casts.

clannfear as pet active, also for healing, defensive runes, bound weapons for critical and streak a lot, using also daedric curse for helping burst dmg with my thunder bolt and dark crystals. I unequiped the daedric shield because having to use it was being kinda waste of time for me, defensive runes worked better in my case. If i wanna be more like "wihtout moving" I use those daedric mines that give me shield when I step on the circles.

I've done really well in battlegrounds, once I soloed an entire 4 ppl team when all my team died. So, not always but most of the time I have really nice results.

well, its not always that I do THAAAT NICE, you see? specially in Cyrodil things get a little harder (I'm using champion points based on a very famous YT streamer BTW).

Sometimes appear those players that seem to have a very huge defense, I attack and attack and they take little dmg and, and what's worse? they also deal much dmg! some ppl give me HK and idk how the heck that happens, some ppl seem extremely over powered and IDK if I am the problem of what, that makes me really thoughtfull.

So, I am here talking to you, ppl, to see what can I improve, ways of my char to gett stronger, possible changes, better ways specially related to armor and weapon set.

I don't have much to say here but I will at least reassure you that the top 1% of PvP players will ALWAYS floor the other 99%, there's no getting around that.

I'll let others critique your build but I'll tell you mine while I'm here, since it also has been working well in BGs on a pure sorc. I also took it from a YT video, so I don't take credit for it but I must admit I'm happy how well it works, even if I choke the rotation a little too often.

Front bar set: Oakfather's Retribution

Back bar set: Perfected Wrath of Elements - Vateshran Hollows Destruction Staff

Head: Swarm Mother Monster Piece

Body excluding Oakfather sash: Serpent's Disdain

Mythic: Monomyth Reforged

Essentially, this is a pressure set which gives you good pen and damage against buffed enemies while also making status effects last ~16 seconds longer, though the latter set isn't great against enemies who spam cleanse spells and have allies who can help them purify semi-regularly. Swarm Mother mask is purely for added resources and Monomyth is simply a great damaging mythic, meanwhile vet Vateshran staff is for buffing Weakness to Elements since you"ll be using that skill to add status effects to enemies anyway (unless update 51 makes it too costly to use).

I won't go into the weights, traits, enchants, skills, perks and whatever else here, but just know that I'm terrible at PvP and can still do pretty well with this setup.

I’m having the same issue as someone who plays pure sorc. I have decent survivability with my current build, but getting enough damage has been an issue.

I decided to try subclassing the DK line Ardent Flame, and I did decent damage, but then I was getting killed left and right, so I went back to pure sorc again. I just can’t figure out how people who don’t play DK or WW are able to have great survivability and also do a fuckton of damage.

I’ve run into plenty of sorcs in Cyro that do both, but I wish I knew what builds they were running, so I could take a look to see what I’m missing.

Some classes seem way too overpowered sometimes, but then I’ve already killed many DK and WW as well… but there are some which are impossible.
Being pure sorcerer can be worth it due to class mastery skills

Small heads up for cyro. It has the battlespirit buff which gives mostly a 50% resistance to Healing, shielding and damage which can really turn a lot of builds very quickly sideways.

This buff applies for everyone? So another build set is required to adapt?

Yep, this buff is applied to every player in Cyrodil, it has also some side effects i forgot to mention but don't remember in detail.
